WAGE RANGE:                     14.00 hourly plus tips

POSITION SUMMARY: WORK ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN! To provide the highest quality of service to guests in accordance with company policies and objectives, to strive toward guest satisfaction, positive employee relations, and profitability by performing the following duties. The cashier is often the first and last contact the guest has with our lodge; therefor, how you represent the Sky House goes a long way in determining whether the guest will become a regular. The cashiers are required to possess professionalism, a friendly and welcoming demeanor, and an efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Cash handling and cash register duties using Squirrel POS System, customer service, bussing tables, keeping front area clean, stocked, and organized. Responsible to inventory/stock product.  Keeps café area clean. ID guests in accordance with Idaho State liquor and identification laws, monitor guest intoxication and take action/get help, if necessary. Serve guests food. Average shift if 9am-4pm.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Combined standing/walking for up to 8 hours per shift.  Will stand in place for up to 2-3 hours at a time. Will lift to 30 lbs. occasionally.  Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist and reach above shoulder level occasionally.  Will use hands for grasping and fine manipulation.  Worksite is 99% inside and 1% outside.  Exposed to ice/snow coming to and from work. Skiing or snowboarding background helpful.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be willing to obtain extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities, services, and activities.  Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in giving directions and answering questions.  Performs other duties as assigned. May also help host/hostess at the Sky House. Will count and be responsible for ringing items up and making correct change.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

SKILLS:                      Exceptional customer service and detail orientated

EDUCATION:             English reading, writing and communication; basic math

EXPERIENCE:           Cash register and/or POS system experience helpful

LICENSE NEEDED:  Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Training Certificate 

MACHINES OR TOOLS OPERATED: Squirrel POS system, coffee grinder, coffee brewer, hot chocolate machine, elevator, vacuum.
