Shipping and Receiving Associate II!

The Shipping and Receiving Associate II is a key contributor to our fast-paced manufacturing operation, ensuring the seamless flow of materials and products throughout the supply chain. As a career-level logistics professional, this role leverages deep expertise in Shipping and/or Receiving processes while working across critical business systems including AX, X-Carrier, MES, MRS, and Salesforce. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, partnering with the Logistics team and cross-functional departments to solve challenges, improve efficiency, and keep operations running smoothly. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex tasks, contribute beyond standard procedures, and play an essential role in delivering exceptional results to customers.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists and system records, ensuring material accuracy and compliance with safety requirements.
  • Manage material holds, quarantined inventory, mystery materials, and related case follow-up while partnering with Customer Service and Planning teams.
  • Organize, store, and transfer inventory to support production demands and maintain efficient warehouse operations.
  • Process domestic and international shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, documentation, freight coordination, and shipping quotes.
  • Generate and maintain accurate shipping records, resolve documentation discrepancies, and manage shipment queues to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Conduct quality inspections, select appropriate packaging, and ensure products are protected throughout the shipping process.
  • Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records while escalating issues and discrepancies as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, customers, vendors, and carriers to coordinate workflow and resolve logistics challenges.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment, including pallet preparation and warehouse storage activities.
  • Follow all safety, housekeeping, and compliance requirements to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping, receiving, and inventory issues, providing clear communication and documentation to stakeholders.

    Education and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Warehouse Experience
  • Dock Experience
  • Signed off on Logistics curriculum
  • Signed off on Receiving or Shipping Curriculum  
  •  

    Key Competencies:

  • AX, Forklift, MRS, MES, FedEx Worldship, UPS Worldship, Salesforce, DOMO
  •  

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

  • Able to work safely with sharp tools/objects, such as but not limited to, hobby knives, utility knives, pliers
  • Able to use a computer, calculator and do basic arithmetic 
  • Able to read and write in English
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment 
  • Must be punctual and have good attendance
  • Good written and oral communication skills; must be able to write and respond to email (MS Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Prior work as a Logistics Associate II (Signed off on Shipping or Receiving)
  • Prior experience with an ERP system like Microsoft AX

    Physical Demands:
    While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse, telephone and printer; reach with hands, and arms, talk, see and hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop or kneel and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
    Work Environment:
    Indoors (A/C); nonsmoking; the majority of this job function is performed in an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. However, there may be job duties that require the employee to spend time in the manufacturing areas exposed to machinery and noise; eye protection occasionally required. Occasionally works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
