Job Description

We are looking for a Shipboard QA & Support Analyst to conduct QA testing, documentation, and troubleshooting of shipboard IT systems. This position will be Full-Time and Remote that requires 90% Travel Onboard.

What You’ll Do

  • Travel to cruise ships (in-service or in dry dock) to conduct on-site QA testing and certification of hardware and software installations

  • Write and maintain clear technical documentation describing how systems should function, be configured, and be maintained

  • Survey and evaluate various software products and platforms deployed across the fleet for functionality, performance, and compliance

  • Identify, document, and coordinate troubleshooting or triage efforts for systems that are underperforming or malfunctioning

  • Coordinate with specialized internal teams to deploy to ships for incident response when critical systems go down

  • Serve as an on-site technical point of contact between shipboard staff and shoreside IT/engineering teams

  • Provide detailed trip reports and QA findings to stakeholders after each site visit

  • During non-travel periods, support the Application Support team with remote troubleshooting of shipboard software systems

What You'll Need

Required:

  • 2–4 years of experience as a Product Engineer, Assistant IT Manager, or similar technical role, ideally with prior shipboard/maritime experience

  • Strong working knowledge of IT hardware and software systems, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting methodology

  • Exceptional written communication skills — able to produce clear, structured, and professional documentation

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus

  • Comfortable working independently in dynamic, sometimes remote environments (at sea, in port, or in dry dock)

  • Willing and able to travel frequently, including trips of 2–3 weeks at a time, on short notice, to destinations worldwide

  • Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively across shipboard crew, IT teams, and vendors

  • Detail-oriented with a QA mindset — able to identify gaps between expected and actual system behavior

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with maritime or cruise industry IT systems and standards

  • Experience with incident response coordination in high-pressure environments

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
