We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and enhance enterprise ServiceNow solutions that improve IT service management and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, platform customization, workflow automation, and ITSM module implementation, along with a solid understanding of ITIL best practices.

In this role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver scalable ServiceNow solutions while ensuring platform stability, maintainability, and adherence to development standards.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain applications on the ServiceNow Platform.
• Implement and customize ITSM modules, including Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Develop and configure Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, Workflows, Flow Designer, and other ServiceNow components.
• Configure and maintain CMDB, ensuring accurate configuration item (CI) management and data integrity.
• Develop custom applications, integrations, and automation workflows to support business requirements.
• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with business users, architects, and cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, development, testing, and deployment activities.
• Troubleshoot platform issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, development standards, and implementation guides.
• Support platform upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate solutions to stakeholders and provide technical guidance where required.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

• 4–6 years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer.
• Strong experience implementing and supporting the ServiceNow Platform.
• Expertise in Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and CMDB modules.
• Strong knowledge of CMDB implementation and configuration.
• Experience developing Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, and platform customizations.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript and Java coding concepts.
• Experience with ServiceNow scripting, workflow automation, and orchestration.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and IT Service Management best practices.
• Experience analyzing business requirements and developing scalable ServiceNow solutions.

Good-to-Have Skills

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS).
• ServiceNow Application Developer certification.
• Experience with Service Portal development.
• Knowledge of IntegrationHub, REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and third-party integrations.
• Experience with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
• Strong technical documentation and solution design skills.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior developers.
• Excellent presentation and solution demonstration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of professional experience in ServiceNow platform development and ITSM implementation.
• ServiceNow training or certifications are highly preferred.
• ITIL Foundation Certification is an added advantage.

Additionally, success will be reflected in effective collaboration with stakeholders, timely project delivery, and continuous improvements to the ServiceNow platform and IT service management processes.
