Comfort Systems USA - Intermountain Inc. is currently seeking a HVAC Service Technician to service the Southern Utah area. This individual is responsible for the service and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems and associated controls systems.

Job functions and duties (other duties may be assigned)

  • HVAC/R service and troubleshooting.  Work without supervision to complete assignments and gain knowledge of products/processes. 
  • Safety Minded.  Aware of the many potential hazards associated with our industry.
  • Active Learning Skills.  Understanding the essential need of new information and pursuing on-going training.
  • Good communication skills.  Good listener with complete tasks as instructed to help negotiate complex problems and deliver competent customer service solutions in an honest and believable manner.
  • Team Minded.  Enjoys helping others to succeed. 

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 5+ years of on-the-job experience
  • Boiler/chiller experience, preferred
  • Basic mathematical, language, communication and reasoning skills

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • EPA 608 Universal refrigeration license
  • NATE Certification (preferred)
  • Manufacturer specific certificates  
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean drug and background history

This position requires working outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms and in possible extreme weather conditions.

  • The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment.
  • The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock (high voltage) and vibration.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Work Availability and Requirements

  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Daily travel requirements with rare overnight travel.
