About this Service Manager – Adult Services (Partners and Localities) role at Liquid Personnel
Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Adult Services Manager to join its client’s Adult Services leadership team, based in Coventry.
You will ensure adults and carers receive safe, effective, strengths-based, and person-centred support. Working closely with health partners, providers, community organisations, and internal stakeholders, you will promote independence, wellbeing, and community inclusion while overseeing performance, quality, resources, service development, workforce development, transformation, and continuous improvement across Adult Services.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Leading designated Adult Social Care service areas, ensuring safe, effective, strengths-based, and person-centred practice is consistently delivered.
- Providing operational leadership across Adult Services, working flexibly across service boundaries to support changing priorities and service demands.
- Supporting managers and practitioners through visible leadership, professional challenge, coaching, and the promotion of high-quality practice.
- Using performance data, management information, quality assurance findings, and customer feedback to drive service improvement and evidence outcomes.
- Monitoring risk, demand, service performance, and workforce capacity to ensure effective and safe service delivery.
- Contributing to strategic planning, workforce resilience, service transformation, and financial sustainability across Adult Social Care.
- Supporting the implementation and embedding of digital solutions and service transformation programmes to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Working collaboratively with health partners, providers, community organisations, and stakeholders to strengthen integrated service delivery and improve outcomes for adults and carers.
- Promoting a positive practice culture that encourages accountability, innovation, learning, and continuous professional development.
- Leading on service development initiatives, quality assurance activity, and operational improvement programmes.
- Supporting resource management, budget oversight, and the delivery of value-for-money services.
- Acting as a constructive critical friend across Adult Services, supporting colleagues through challenge, shared learning, and collaborative problem-solving.
Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have;
- Relevant professional qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Health & Social Care, Management, or a related field.
- Registration with the appropriate professional body where applicable.
- Significant management and leadership experience within Adult Social Care services.
- Proven experience leading operational teams, managing performance, and driving service improvement.
- Strong understanding of Adult Social Care legislation, safeguarding responsibilities, strengths-based practice, and person-centred approaches.
- Experience working collaboratively with health partners, providers, community organisations, and multi-agency stakeholders.
- Knowledge of workforce development, performance management, quality assurance, and service transformation.
- Experience using performance data and quality measures to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a complex and changing service environment whilst maintaining a focus on positive outcomes for adults and carers.
