About the Opportunity
Westgold is seeking experienced Underground Service Crew Operators to join our underground mining operations in permanent, full-time positions. These FIFO roles operate ex Perth and offer a range of roster options across our Western Australian sites.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term career stability with a well-established WA gold producer, working within a safety-driven, high-performing underground team that values reliability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
As a Service Crew Operator, you will play a vital role in maintaining safe, efficient, and productive underground operations. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Installation, extension, and removal of underground ventilation systems (vent bags, fans, ducting)
- Ground support tasks including mesh repairs, scaling, and rock bolt installation assistance
- Assisting with underground services installation, such as air, water, and paste lines
- Conducting hazard identification, barricading, and area clean-ups
- Operating IT as required
- Assisting jumbo, bogger, and charge-up crews with service-related activities
- Maintaining pumps, sumps, and dewatering lines
- Conducting pre-start inspections and completing workplace documentation
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous underground mining experience in a Service Crew role
- A current manual C-class driver’s licence
- Full working rights in Australia
- A National Police Clearance issued within the last 12 months
- A current DGSC (or willingness to obtain)
- Western Australian residency (preferred)
