Job Description

Make Your Impact with CHEP

At CHEP, we help move more goods to more people, in more places than any other organisation on the planet. As part of the Brambles group, we're creating smarter and more sustainable supply chains through our circular business model.

We're expanding our Townsville Service Centre and launching a brand-new afternoon shift. This is a rare opportunity to help build a team, shape the culture and establish the standards that will support the site's next phase of growth. Rather than inheriting the status quo, you'll help create it.

Why Join CHEP?

  • 15% afternoon shift loading
  • Consistent afternoon shift pattern with an early Friday finish every week
  • Monday to Thursday: 2:30pm - 11:00pm
  • Friday: 12:30pm - 7:00pm
  • Permanent full-time opportunity
  • Opportunity to build and shape a new team from the ground up
  • Leadership development and career opportunities across CHEP and Brambles
  • Global business with local impact
  • Safety-focused, values-driven culture committed to developing its people

The Opportunity

As our Afternoon Shift Supervisor, you'll lead a frontline production team while helping establish a new shift operation at our Townsville site.

You'll spend your time where great leaders make the biggest impact, on the floor coaching, developing and supporting your team. Working alongside an experienced Site Manager, you'll play a key role in building a high-performing culture, developing future leaders and driving safe, efficient operations.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop a frontline production team
  • Drive a strong safety-first culture
  • Coach and develop future leaders
  • Deliver production, quality and customer service outcomes
  • Build team engagement, accountability and performance
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site
  • Manage attendance, performance and employee relations matters in partnership with HR

You'll Thrive If You

  • Enjoy building teams, not just managing them
  • Lead from the floor and build trust quickly
  • Have experience leading teams in operational environments
  • Love coaching and developing people
  • Bring energy, resilience and authenticity to your leadership style
  • Balance people, safety and operational outcomes with confidence

Our Commitment to Diversity & Inclusivity

CHEP Townsville is a welcoming and inclusive workplace where women thrive in hands-on roles. We actively encourage applications from women and people of all backgrounds. You’ll be joining a team that values respect, support, and collaboration.

We know that talent comes in many forms. CHEP welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and neurodivergent individuals. We are committed to creating a workplace where people can bring their whole selves to work and feel valued for their unique strengths, experiences, and perspectives.

Need adjustments during the recruitment process? Whether that's extra time, alternative interview formats, or other support, we're happy to work with you to ensure an accessible and positive experience.
