About this Senior Winning Work Consultant (Bids & Pursuits) role at Aurecon

What you’ll do
As part of our wider Winning Work team, you’ll help take Aurecon and our client offering to the next level. You’ll be an experienced proposal professional with strong writing skills, ideally with knowledge of the consulting engineering industry. This role is an opportunity to establish yourself as a strategic resource within our business, leading the Winning Work approach for major and strategic opportunities, and advising and coaching bid teams across the entire bid process i.e. from capture planning, proposal development, oral presentations, to the client debrief.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and coordinate pursuit strategies for key opportunities
- Manage and coordinate winning strategy development for bids and offers, including value propositions, win themes, and key messaging aligned with client needs and priorities
- Provide end-to-end bid / proposal management across all the markets we serve to achieve on-time, high-quality and compliant proposal submissions.
- Collaborate confidently with bid teams to ensure key deliverables are met including coordinating and leading key meetings, such as bid kick-off, status calls and reviews.
- Produce bid-specific responses that are tailored, client-focused, and differentiated in a competitive environment.
- Compile, maintain and update content to enhance our Knowledge Libraries.
What you’ll bring
We focus on building valued relationships with our clients, and our Winning Work process recognises that. In addition to a strong focus on our external clients, we are also looking for:
- Strong bid, proposal or pursuit experience, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a time-critical environment
- Excellent technical, persuasive writing, editing and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail
- Confident communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint, including templates, styles, layout and formatting
- A relevant qualification in communications, marketing, business or a related field
- A proactive, curious approach and willingness to learn new systems and processes
- Experience in a professional consultancy and APMP accreditation will be highly regarded, but are not essential
