Role: Senior Technical Project Manager

The Team:

The Commercial Solutions team partners across the Revenue Organization, Marketing, Legal, Customer Excellence, and Order-to-Cash functions to deliver technology solutions that drive business growth, operational efficiency, and an exceptional customer experience. We are responsible for shaping and executing a strategic technology roadmap, modernizing business processes, and enabling scalable platforms that support commercial operations across the enterprise.

As part of a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, our team works closely with business leaders, product owners, architects, and agile development teams to transform business challenges into innovative technology solutions.

Responsibilities & Impact:

As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will lead cross-functional technology initiatives from concept through delivery to drive S&P Global Market Intelligence's organizational success. You will be involved in all aspects of strategic initiative project management, including defining requirements, initiative planning, coordinating cross-functional teams, assigning work, driving execution to completion, communicating progress, and measuring impact. This role requires a strategic thinker who can partner with business stakeholders to understand priorities, define solutions, and drive execution through both traditional project management and agile delivery methodologies.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead complex technology programs, including system enhancements, platform implementations, process automation initiatives, and third-party tool integrations with the Salesforce platform.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand strategic goals, operational challenges, and opportunities for technology-driven transformation.
  • Translate business needs into clear project objectives, requirements, and delivery plans.
  • Work closely with Scrum teams, product owners, architects, and technical resources to define and prioritize requirements that solve business problems.
  • Drive project governance, including project plans, RAID logs, status reporting, risk management, decision tracking, and executive communications.
  • Facilitate alignment across diverse stakeholder groups and ensure the successful delivery of business outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain roadmaps that align technology investments with organizational priorities.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, resources, and budgets while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Provide leadership across multifunctional teams to drive accountability, decision-making, and execution excellence.
  • Measure and communicate project outcomes, business value, and adoption success.

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate is a strategic, collaborative leader who can bridge business and technology teams, navigate ambiguity, and consistently deliver meaningful outcomes. They are equally comfortable engaging with senior business leaders, facilitating decisions across diverse stakeholder groups, and guiding technical teams toward successful execution. The candidate's background should include:

  • 5+ years of project or program management experience leading complex technology initiatives.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other enterprise CRM platforms in a business-facing, delivery, or project leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business challenges into actionable technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with business process improvement, workflow automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working with commercial, sales, customer service, or customer experience organizations.
  • Experience partnering with agile development teams and working within Scrum delivery frameworks.
  • Strong project governance skills, including risk management, issue resolution, stakeholder communications, and executive reporting.
  • Proven ability to lead large cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and execution excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Smartsheet and Salesforce is preferred.
  • PMP, Agile, Scrum, or related project management certifications preferred.
