At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As the Technical Program Manager on the Factory Automation team, you will directly support Blue Origin’s success by building, maintaining, and evolving the program-level infrastructure and systems to enable rapid, lightweight, and effective project management across the organization - this is not a project manager role, this is a program-wide role that enables the engineers, managers, and stakeholders working on automation development to track, measure, and understand the projects that form the overall automation program.

The ideal candidate will have professional expertise in program/project management, technical leadership, and a proven track record of successfully delivering automation projects on time and within budget. The person in this role will develop the systems to handle individual project technical scope definition, schedules, budgets, material procurement and resource allocation to complete projects, working directly with the Factory Automation development and integration engineering teams to ensure project completion on schedule and within the allocated budget. Success in this role will mean a decrease in project management effort for project leaders, and an increase in visibility into insights for the automation program - both internally and for our customers.

We are looking for a program manager to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to identify and tailor to a target audience. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
