About the role:

The Business Strategy and Governance team is dedicated to enhancing TeamONE's digital presence and operational efficiency. We are the link between executive vision and execution across TeamONE, focusing on strategic planning, architecture governance, and process automation. We provide the path for standardized, reliable, secure, and efficient infrastructure services.



The Senior Technical Program Manager will lead complex, cross-functional technical programs with broad business and organizational impact. This role will bring clarity to ambiguous problems, align stakeholders on strategy and execution, and drive delivery through strong decision-making, risk management, and measurable outcomes. 


 

As a Senior Technical Program Manager at Mastercard, your key responsibilities include:


Contribute to the strategy, design decisions, and infrastructure needed to build comprehensive, achievable execution plans for high-profile customer features and capabilities.

Develop a deep understanding of the business strategy and design approaches within the product, program, or domain to build credibility and influence across teams.

Conceptualize, rationalize, and drive the execution of features and engineering work across the portfolio within our Scrum delivery model.

Operate in an Agile/Scrum environment across delivery squads, release roadmaps, and associated OKRs while partnering closely with product team members.

Organize and accelerate related technology projects and activities across multiple teams, aligning dependent organizations.

Partner with multiple Scrum and delivery teams to improve ways of working and identify and mitigate risks or issues that may affect the plan.

Recognize complexity, create predictable delivery paths for large or complex efforts, and measurably improve, streamline, or eliminate unnecessary processes.

Lead meaningful retrospectives, recommend actionable improvements, and communicate issues outside the team’s control to leadership.

Clearly articulate scope, timelines, dependencies, owners, and actions, and report progress to teams and senior leadership on a regular cadence.

Demonstrated ability to operate independently and with autonomy.

Experience in infrastructure delivery, oversight, best practices, and governance, with the ability to drive alignment, execution discipline, and operational excellence across complex technology environments.

Strong project and program management experience, including managing scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, executive updates, and cross-functional delivery commitments.

Coordination and organization skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and vendors across locations to ensure success of the project. 

Proven ability to interact with senior leaders and stakeholders, with strong communication and presentation skills to clearly convey strategy, delivery status, risks, decisions, and outcomes.

Technical expertise to understand infrastructure challenges, communicate effectively with engineers, scope technical programs, and identify technical risks.

Proven track record of data-driven decision-making and applying continuous improvement methodologies across teams.

  

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations.
