Job Description:

Baker Tilly is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex AI technology programs across the firm's AI Product Group (APG). This role is responsible for establishing and managing an integrated delivery framework that aligns product development, engineering, platform operations, global teams, and external partners to ensure successful delivery of AI-enabled solutions. The position plays a critical role in driving program execution, managing cross-functional dependencies, enforcing production readiness and launch requirements, and ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, with measurable outcomes and clear accountability.

As a foundational member of the APG organization, this individual will serve as a strategic partner to senior technology leadership, providing oversight of program governance, technical delivery milestones, vendor commitments, and operational transitions. The ideal candidate combines deep technical program management expertise, strong understanding of AI/ML development and deployment, exceptional written communication, and the ability to influence across complex organizations. This role requires a highly proactive, results-oriented leader who can translate technical complexity into actionable plans, anticipate and resolve delivery risks, and establish scalable program management practices as the organization grows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Enterprise AI Program Delivery: Own and manage integrated program execution across AI product management, engineering, platform operations, global delivery teams, and external partners, ensuring alignment of priorities, timelines, deliverables, and business objectives.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Program Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, dependency maps, milestones, and delivery schedules spanning platform development, data pipelines, vendor integrations, security reviews, and production deployments.
  • Establish Program Governance and Accountability: Define and manage program governance processes, decision-making forums, escalation protocols, and delivery standards to ensure transparency, accountability, and timely resolution of issues.
  • Manage Production Readiness and Launch Gates: Coordinate and validate technical readiness requirements, including engineering evaluations, performance evidence, platform telemetry, security reviews, and acceptance criteria, to support informed production and launch decisions.
  • Oversee Vendor and Partner Delivery: Manage technical program coordination with external partners and vendors, track contractual milestones, validate integration requirements, and ensure vendor deliverables meet established technical standards and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead Knowledge Transfer and Operational Transition: Manage structured partner-to-internal-team transitions through defined shadowing, pairing, leadership, and ownership milestones, ensuring operational readiness and successful transfer of technical capabilities.
  • Drive Technical Collaboration and Delivery Alignment: Partner with engineering leaders, enterprise architects, product managers, and data platform teams to evaluate technical dependencies, challenge assumptions, assess delivery estimates, and proactively address risks impacting execution.
  • Manage Executive Reporting and Communications: Develop clear, concise, executive-level program updates, steering committee materials, quarterly business review presentations, escalation memoranda, and decision recommendations that communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and required actions.
  • Coordinate Global and Enterprise Stakeholders: Serve as a central program interface across U.S. and India engineering teams, enterprise technology, the Enterprise Transformation Office, People Solutions, and other stakeholders to align priorities and drive timely execution.
  • Establish Scalable Program Management Practices: Build and continuously improve program management tools, processes, reporting mechanisms, and operating cadences that support organizational growth, operational efficiency, and consistent delivery performance.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned to advance the firm's AI strategy and business priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field,; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive technical program management experience, including leadership of complex, multi-team, multi-vendor technology initiatives and successful delivery of AI/ML solutions into production environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale technical programs with Director-level scope, including accountability for product launches, operational readiness, business outcomes, and delivery performance.
  • Proven expertise in program planning, cross-functional dependency management, milestone tracking, risk mitigation, resource coordination, and execution across multiple engineering and product teams.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML development and deployment lifecycles, including model dependencies, evaluation frameworks, data readiness, agentic AI systems, and production release requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret technical architecture documentation, evaluate engineering estimates, and engage credibly with senior engineers and architects on complex technical delivery challenges.
  • Experience establishing and managing production readiness reviews, technical acceptance criteria, stage-gate processes, and evidence-based launch decisions.
  • Proven experience managing external technology vendors, contractual delivery obligations, technical acceptance requirements, and multi-vendor integration programs.
  • Experience leading structured knowledge transfer, operational transition, and partner-to-internal-team capability development initiatives.
  • Strong proficiency in technical program management methodologies, tools, and reporting frameworks, including dependency mapping, delivery tracking, risk management, and executive-level performance reporting.
  • Experience leveraging technical telemetry, engineering metrics, and delivery data to evaluate program health, validate progress, and support fact-based decision-making.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop executive-ready presentations, concise program updates, escalation memoranda, and actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to drive accountability and achieve results across teams and functions without direct reporting authority.
  • Experience working with globally distributed engineering teams, external partners, and enterprise stakeholders across multiple time zones and organizational structures.
  • Demonstrated success operating in fast-paced, evolving, or early-stage technology environments while establishing scalable processes within larger enterprise organizations.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges, resolve ambiguity, and manage competing priorities.
