The Role

The Role:
You are the offshore specialist leader responsible for identity and messaging readiness and remediation in a tenant‑to‑tenant Microsoft 365 consolidation. You provide technical authority on Entra ID readiness, identity conflict remediation, access impacts and Exchange‑related sequencing considerations that shape wave delivery. You act as the escalation point for identity and messaging blockers and maintain repeatable runbooks for remediation so that Scale squads can cut over with confidence and the Factory can execute at pace.

What you will do

• Own identity and messaging readiness for migration waves, including entry criteria, risk assessments, mitigation planning, coexistence considerations, and sequencing dependencies to ensure successful user migration readiness.
• Act as the escalation point for identity and access issues impacting migrated users, providing rapid triage, remediation guidance, and support during cutovers, war rooms, and critical migration activities.
• Develop and maintain remediation runbooks, readiness validation processes, evidence capture standards, and acceptance criteria for resolving common tenant-to-tenant identity and messaging blockers.
• Collaborate with Entra Apps specialists and other stakeholders to resolve application access, consent, and service principal dependencies, while maintaining a known-issue catalogue, driving root cause reduction, and providing reporting on blockers, remediation progress, and overall readiness health.
• Support regional migration delivery, including participation in early morning, late evening, and weekend cutovers as required to meet business and migration timelines.

Required Skills and Experience

• Hands-on experience delivering tenant-to-tenant migrations involving Microsoft Entra ID and/or Exchange Online.
• Strong knowledge of Entra ID administration, identity lifecycle management, access controls, authentication, and troubleshooting.
• Strong Exchange Online operational expertise supporting tenant migrations and user-impact mitigation.
• Experience developing remediation runbooks, validation processes, and migration readiness activities.
• Strong documentation, audit evidence, and reporting skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business teams.
• Ability to support migration cutovers, escalations, and extended-hours activities.
• Experience working in follow-the-sun support and structured handover environments.
• Strong risk management, issue resolution, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• High integrity with security, access control, and compliance practices.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with Quest or similar tenant migration tools.
• Microsoft certifications or equivalent identity/messaging expertise.
• PowerShell and Microsoft Graph scripting skills.
• Experience in audit and compliance-driven environments.
• Strong coaching, documentation, and process improvement mindset.
• Proven success in reducing migration issues and cutover risks.
• Experience with runbooks, remediation tracking, and MTTR improvement.
• Strong focus on readiness validation, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction
