Job Description

Benefits

  • Work with a global sustainable Tier 1 Contractor.
  • Recruit across every level, from site crews to senior managers
  • Build on your capabilities, including mentoring, training and an AU/NZ team support.

Project Information
The Warkworth to Te Hana motorway is a 26km section of the Northland Corridor, linking Auckland and Northland. ACCIONA and Aberdeen Investments (Northway Consortium) will design, build, operate and maintain it for the NZ Transport Agency. Financial close is complete, and works include earthworks, tunnelling and 15 bridges. The project will improve safety, resilience and journey reliability.

About the Opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated Senior Talent Partner to help continue to build our project staffing capability across the Northern Corridor and broader NZ business as needed. Reporting to the Project HR Manager and indirectly to the Talent Resourcing Manager AU/NZ, you will partner with project leaders, hiring managers and the team to plan hiring up to three months ahead of needs.  You will own recruitment across your allocated project scope, from site-based roles to senior leadership, and build talent pipelines before the project needs them. Run targeted searches for hard-to-fill roles, manage agencies under preferred supplier arrangements and guide hiring managers through fair, consistent selection. The role will be supported by a broader AU/NZ talent team working together to support the broader business operations.

Key accountabilities for the position will be:

  • Lead white-collar and blue-collar recruitment across your allocated project scope
  • Plan hiring up to three months ahead using project forecasts with HR and project leaders
  • Build talent pools and pipelines, including for senior roles
  • Run targeted search and selection for hard-to-fill roles
  • Assess candidates and guide hiring managers through fair, consistent selection
  • Manage agency delivery and performance against Preferred Supplier Arrangements
  • Track requisitions and progress in Workday, and keep stakeholders informed
  • Support broader Talent Function as directed by Talent Resourcing Manager as needed.

Required Skills and Competencies

What capability and experience will you need to have:

  • Degree or diploma in HR, business, psychology or similar
  • Proven recruitment delivery across all levels, up to senior roles
  • Proven volume hiring across multiple projects and locations
  • Understanding of civil construction or engineering recruitment
  • Confident with ATS and AI tools, ideally Workday
