About the Position

The Senior Strategic Account Executive, Urban School Districts is a senior individual contributor responsible for developing and expanding strategic partnerships with the largest urban school districts throughout the Southeast. This role leads complex enterprise sales efforts focused on improving student outcomes through evidence-based academic interventions, Tier 2 intervention services, learning acceleration, and high-dosage tutoring solutions.

As a trusted advisor to district leadership, you will build executive relationships, identify funding opportunities, navigate complex procurement processes, and drive district-wide partnerships from initial engagement through contract execution. This role plays a critical part in expanding The Princeton Review's impact while consistently exceeding ambitious revenue and growth objectives.

What You'll Do

Strategic Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for major urban school districts throughout the Southeast territory.
  • Generate new business opportunities while expanding existing strategic district partnerships.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles from prospecting through contract execution.

Executive Relationship Management

  • Build trusted relationships with Superintendents, Chief Academic Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Federal Programs Directors, Student Services leaders, School Boards, and other district executives.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on district initiatives related to student achievement and academic recovery.
  • Deliver executive-level presentations, proposals, and consultative recommendations.

Solution Consulting

  • Position evidence-based academic solutions supporting:
    • MTSS frameworks
    • Tier 2 intervention
    • High-dosage tutoring
    • Learning acceleration
    • Academic recovery initiatives
  • Partner with district leaders to align solutions with strategic priorities and student outcome goals.

Funding & Proposal Development

  • Identify district, state, federal, grant, and supplemental funding opportunities.
  • Develop competitive proposals and responses to RFPs.
  • Navigate procurement requirements and district purchasing processes.

Pipeline & Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting and CRM pipeline management.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Implementation teams to ensure successful onboarding, long-term district success, and account expansion.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7+ years of enterprise, education, public sector, or consultative sales experience.
  • Proven success closing large, complex, multi-stakeholder sales opportunities.
  • Experience selling services or solutions into K–12 school districts.
  • Demonstrated ability to build executive-level relationships and influence senior decision makers.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Experience responding to RFPs and managing public procurement processes.
  • Strong strategic account planning and territory management skills.
  • Familiarity with district initiatives including Tier 2 intervention, learning acceleration, literacy and math achievement, chronic absenteeism reduction, graduation improvement, and student outcome initiatives.
  • Comfortable traveling extensively throughout the Southeast territory.
  • You are a strategic thinker who can balance long-term relationship development with achieving near-term revenue goals.
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy partnering across Sales, Customer Success, and Implementation teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

The Princeton Review and Tutor.com offer a competitive salary which commensurates with experience and skills. 

US Pay Range
$100,000$110,000 USD
