Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Senior Staff Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team with a highly competitive salary range up to £56,678.84 depending upon experience.

This is a full time, permanent position would require the post holder to work up to 37.5 hours per week.

This is a Monday-Sunday, Days/Nights/Weekends role with the following shift patterns:

• Monday to Sunday Long Days– 0730-2000 
• Monday to Sunday Nights – 1930-0800 
• Bank Holidays – 0730-2000 & 1930-0800

You will be joining a multi-disciplinary team with specialisms in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiothoracic surgery with some vascular as well as cardiac/medical conditions, also digestive diseases including liver and robotics and other specialties that require continuous monitoring and treatment. Cleveland Clinic London specialise in the latest diagnostic techniques and treatments for gastrointestinal diseases. Using advanced endoscopy, our specialists assess and treat cysts, polyps or early-stage cancers. We also offer minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery for less pain and a quicker recovery.

What will your duties include:

• Support, and in the absence of the Charge Nurse, organise the day to day running of the Acute Care Ward allocating nursing Caregivers according to their level of competence, reviews skill mix and workload to ensure they meet the needs of the service.

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with CCL’s established policies, procedures and protocols.

• Prioritise nursing care, recognize deterioration in patient’s condition and escalates to the senior nursing team /clinicians immediately.

• Ensure personal and team adherence to all CCL policies and procedures.

• Adhere to the NMC code of conduct and acts as the patient advocate at all times.

What we need from you:

• Nursing Bachelor’s Degree (Essential).
• Current nursing registration (First Level) through the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) required, with no restrictions to practice (Essential).
• ILS provider course completed and qualification in required upon hire, or within 3 months of hire (Essential).
• Experience in the field of Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Cardiothoracic surgery and Digestive Diseases.
• Wide range of experience working in acute care specialities including cardiac and cardiothoracic, renal, and GI surgery.
• Track record of achievement of objectives in present and past posts, in both clinical and leadership fields.
