Job Description
Designs and developed body worn camera (BWC) communications devices, semiconductor devices, solid state devices and other electronic systems using an understanding of circuit theory and electrical or electronic engineering. Lead the hardware design and miniaturization of our next-generation body-worn camera (BWC) systems. In this role, you will own the hardware lifecycle from concept to mass production, balancing tight power budgets, thermal constraints, high-speed video processing, and ruggedized reliability for mission-critical field operations. Designs test systems for components and devices designed using electronic engineering techniques Collaborates with line engineers in other disciplines either on product design or manufacturing of electronic components.
Architecture & PCB Design: Design, schematic capture, and layout supervision for multi-layer, high-density interconnect (HDI) PCBs incorporating image sensors, SoC/SoMs, power management (PMIC), and wireless modules.
Low-Power Optimization: Architect battery-efficient power delivery networks (PDN) to maximize continuous recording battery life while maintaining low thermal signatures.
Connectivity & Audio/Video Integration: Integrate Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, GPS/GNSS, high-dynamic-range (HDR) image sensors, and multi-microphone noise-canceling arrays.
Ruggedization & Compliance: Design hardware to meet MIL-STD-810H (drop/shock/vibration), IP67/IP68 ingress protection, and ESD standards. Lead board-level EMI/EMC debugging for FCC/CE certification.
Manufacturing Support: Work closely with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT).
Basic Requirements
Degree or Master in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with more than 8 years of experience on research and development (RND) in product design or new product introduction (NPI) for public safety environment and enterprise customers.
