As a Senior Specialist, Data Analytics, you will be responsible for the continuous, robust, and accurate design, delivery, and monitoring of healthcare analytics products and frameworks. The role combines strong technical analytics capability with deep healthcare domain understanding to deliver actionable insights and measurable value for clients. You will work closely with data science, technology, terminology, and data teams to ensure high-quality delivery, effective stakeholder communication, and ongoing innovation across Amplify Health’s analytics offerings.In addition, you will contribute to innovation initiatives and product creation, supporting the evolution of Amplify Health’s data, AI/ML, and analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities
1) Client & Market Partnership
- Develop a deep understanding of the specific healthcare market, client business models, and operating environments.
- Act as a trusted analytics partner to clients, engaging stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and success metrics.
- Translate clinical, operational, and financial needs into analytics use cases that drive measurable business and care outcomes.
- Proactively manage client communication, expectations, and satisfaction across the engagement lifecycle.
2) Analytics Delivery & Value Realisation
- Lead end-to-end delivery and implementation of healthcare analytics solutions, from configuration through go-live and post-launch optimisation.
- Ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely analytics outputs that meet client requirements and internal standards.
- Monitor performance, adoption, and realised value of analytics products, identifying opportunities for optimisation and expansion.
- Provide ongoing support, enhancements, and refinements to analytics solutions in live environments.
3) Data Analysis, Insight & Reporting
- Analyse complex healthcare datasets to identify trends, drivers, and opportunities related to cost, utilisation, outcomes, and risk.
- Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations tailored to client needs.
- Develop, maintain, and interpret dashboards, metrics, and reporting frameworks to support data-driven decision-making.
4) Stakeholder, Relationship & Cross-Functional Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external clients.
- Work closely with data engineers, developers, and SMEs to deliver integrated solutions.
- Proactively manage dependencies, priorities, and delivery risks, resolving issues to maintain client trust and momentum.
- Act as an escalation point for analytics-related challenges, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
5) Innovation, Product Development & Opportunity Identification
- Identify opportunities where analytics, claims insights, or AI/ML can deliver incremental client and commercial value.
- Prototype and validate new analytics modules, features, and use cases in collaboration with clients and product teams.
- Contribute ideas and feedback to the evolution of Amplify Health’s analytics platforms and product roadmap.
Support pilots, proof-of-value initiatives, and early-stage solution validation.
6) Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to market-specific healthcare data regulations, privacy requirements, and internal governance standards.
- Identify and manage risks related to data quality, analytical approaches, and AI/ML usage.
- Support the development and application of mitigation strategies for analytical, operational, and regulatory risks.
7) Client Enablement, Communication & Continuous Improvement
- Educate clients on healthcare analytics best practices, metrics interpretation, and value realisation.
- Design and deliver user training and enablement sessions to drive adoption and capability uplift.
- Present insights and recommendations clearly to audiences ranging from operational teams to senior executives.
- Continuously improve delivery quality, client experience, and analytical approaches through learning and feedback.
8) Client Education & Capability Building
- Advocate for health-specific analytics, metrics tracking, and best practices.
- Educate clients on the value and application of analytics, AI/ML, and claims insights.
- Support capability uplift across client and internal teams through knowledge sharing.
9) Solution Ownership
- Lead the end-to-end design and execution of analytics solutions to address client business needs, translating client problems into robust, fit-for-purpose analytical approaches.
- Oversee cross-functional delivery and maintain accountability for the quality, timeliness, and outcomes of final client deliverables.
Candidate Profile
Experience and Qualifications
- 7- 10 years’ experience in healthcare analytics, data science, health technology, or a related domain.
- Demonstrated success delivering analytics solutions in complex healthcare environments.
- Proven experience working with cross-functional technical and domain teams.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Data Science, Health Economics, or related) strongly preferred.
- Ability to communicate in Cantonese is advantageous to support engagement with Cantonese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
