About this Senior Solution Architect role at GSSTech Group
Job Purpose
The Senior Solution Architect owns end-to-end solution design for the Corporate Assisted Banking squad within Digital Products, translating business and product requirements into secure, scalable, and reusable architecture across web, mobile, and API/microservice layers. The role sits at the intersection of the Architecture Chapter's standards and the squad's delivery pace, and is expected to operate with deep technical authority and minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Own solution architecture for Corporate Assisted Banking products end-to-end, from requirement intake through design sign-off.
- Translate product owner and business stakeholder requirements into detailed solution designs, wireframe-aligned user journeys, and integration blueprints.
- Design and govern microservices, APIs, and their integration with core banking, CRM, and assisted-channel systems.
- Ensure all designs comply with chapter-wide architecture standards, security requirements, and reusable reference patterns.
- Partner with Information Security to validate authentication, authorization, encryption, and data-protection controls across the solution.
- Act as the technical escalation point for the squad, resolving design conflicts, dependency risks, and cross-squad integration issues.
- Mentor Solution Architects and Technical Architects within the squad; review their designs for standards compliance.
- Contribute reusable blueprints and reference architecture back to the Architecture Chapter.
- Represent the squad in Chapter forums, architecture review boards, and peer review sessions.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 8+ years in solution/enterprise architecture, with demonstrated ownership of end-to-end designs, not just contribution.
- 5+ years designing and delivering microservices, APIs, and web/mobile application architecture in a banking or financial services environment.
- Proven experience architecting for assisted or relationship-manager-facing banking channels (corporate banking, RM tools, CRM integration); direct domain relevance matters more than generic fintech exposure here.
- Strong cloud-native background, including containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, service mesh, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/OCI).
- Deep security architecture fluency, including OWASP Top 10, IAM/Authentication, encryption, logging/monitoring, infrastructure and cloud security, and regulatory controls (PCI DSS, local banking regulation).
- Track record integrating solutions with surrounding ecosystems, including event streams, message brokers, and third-party/core banking APIs.
- Experience with enterprise architecture and data modeling tooling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior architecture ownership specifically in a corporate or business banking (rather than retail) product line.
- Experience with low-code or assisted-channel platforms used by relationship managers or branch staff.
- Formal architecture certification (TOGAF or equivalent).
