ING Hubs Romania offers 130 services in software development, data management, non-financial risk & compliance, audit, and retail operations to 24 ING units worldwide, with the help of over 2000 high-performing engineers, risk, and operations professionals. 

We started out in 2015 as ING’s software development hub, then steadily expanded our range to include more services and competencies. Now we provide borderless services with bank-wide capabilities and operate from two locations: Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca.

The Mission
The main purpose of the ING Resource Manager is to provide a common way to configure of components. Together you are working on the foundation which automate the configuration of Touchpoint Platform and plays nicely together with the deployment pipeline.

Touchpoint Platform Architecture is a strategic program that aims to provide a globally scalable banking platform by simplifying and standardizing our banking applications and creating a modularly built system.

As a software engineer you are not only concerned about the ING Resource Manager, written in Java and Kotlin, but also how it integrates with other Touchpoint Platform components, written in other languages such as Go or Typescript. Your purpose is to increase Touchpoint Platform adoption, and therefore you like creating pull requests for products owned by other squads.

Your day to day

• Deliver and operate high quality software for the ING Resource Manager which is in the heart of the Touchpoint Platform
• Help onboarding new use cases for automation, outlining the ING Resource Manager architecture, answer questions, and help integrating new components

What you’ll bring to the team

• 5+ years experience as a Software Engineer
• A polyglot mindset and eagerness to learn new languages and technologies
• Strong experience in Java/Kotlin and Spring framework
• Experience with Go is a plus
• Capable of delivering both working code and a suitable set of automated tests
• Strong knowledge in code design and design patterns
• Good understanding of functional programming principles
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with the Open Source way of working
