About Flight Experience Team

We own the three travel essentials that give customers total peace of mind: securing bags and seats, delivering a frictionless check-in experience, and providing an instant safety net when plans go sideways. Operating in small, AI-native engineering teams, we build and own end-to-end features like automated check-in systems, live terminal tracking, and instant disruption refunds—shipping fast, iterating in real time, and letting data keep us honest.

What you will do

  • Drive AI-powered innovation across our core stack by supporting the build of highly efficient, real-time solutions for disruption handling, automated check-in, baggage, and seating.

  • Ensure engineering excellence by taking complete ownership of holistic solutions, writing maintainable code, and fostering robust unit, integration, and manual testing practices.

  • Think beyond the codebase by leveraging product and business metrics to uncover real traveler needs and shape high-impact technical features through shared insights.

  • Collaborate for success in a highly supportive, cross-functional environment alongside Product Managers, UX Designers, Data experts, and neighboring engineering teams.

  • Ship early and iterate fast to continually refine live services, bringing ideas to life and moving from initial concept to production deployment with trust and autonomy.

What you will need

  • A proven track record of accelerating development using AI-native tools like Cursor or Claude Code to streamline workflow cycles, nurture efficient processes, and maximize daily R&D output.

  • You have advanced knowledge of Python development, writing clean, stable, and maintainable production code, with working familiarity with Golang as a welcome plus.

  • Proven experience designing scalable systems using microservices, REST principles, and collaborative asynchronous messaging architectures like Celery and RabbitMQ.

  • You bring senior-level experience with hands-on data management using PostgreSQL and Redis, combined with a data-driven familiarity with BigQuery to optimize data flows.

  • You can demonstrate your skills in solving complex problems by using an empathetic, analytical mindset to evaluate technical paths, debug intricate multi-system issues, and develop sustainable fixes.

  • You bring a proven track record of owning projects end-to-end from inception to production, sharing responsibility for safe deployments and nurturing cloud infrastructure reliability.

  • You thrive in high-autonomy environments, taking initiative to resolve blockers independently while maintaining professional proficiency in English (written and verbal) to communicate with clarity, openness, and empathy.

We offer you

  • We give our employees the freedom to choose between the environment of work from home and our modern office located in ZET Nová Zbrojovka with an in-house gym, masseur, sleeping spots, canteen, showers, chillout zones, free refreshments, Rebelbeans coffee, garage for cars/motorbikes/bicycles.

  • We enjoy benefits, such as meal vouchers, 25 days of paid vacation, Cafeteria, sick days, VIP Medical Care, Multisport card, Makro Cash & Carry Card, Employee Assistance Program, and career development framework.

  • Annual financial bonus based on company and individual performance.

  • Relocation package (including visa transfer support).

  • Flight vouchers to celebrate your Kiwi anniversaries.

  • Grow.Kiwi program which supports parents and keeps them engaged with the company.

  • Dogs are welcome in our offices.
