Job Summary

We are seeking a VMware Cloud & Automation Engineer with 4-7 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise virtualization and private cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), VMware Aria Automation, VMware Aria Orchestrator, and Nutanix HCI platforms. The role involves automating infrastructure provisioning, optimizing private cloud operations, and supporting mission-critical virtualized environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, configure, and administer VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments.
  • Install, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter Server, vSAN, and NSX-T infrastructure.
  • Develop and manage self-service cloud automation using VMware Aria Automation (formerly vRealize Automation).
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows using VMware Aria Orchestrator (vRO).
  • Build reusable cloud templates, blueprints, custom resource types, and automation policies.
  • Automate VM provisioning, lifecycle management, patching, and configuration using PowerCLI, PowerShell, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Integrate VMware Aria Automation with Active Directory, REST APIs, CMDB, and enterprise applications.
  • Deploy, administer, and troubleshoot Nutanix HCI infrastructure, including Prism Central and Prism Element.
  • Perform infrastructure upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and lifecycle management for VMware and Nutanix environments.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security while ensuring adherence to operational SLAs.
  • Collaborate with networking, storage, security, and application teams to deliver scalable private cloud solutions.
  • Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
  • Create technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), architecture diagrams, and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and on-call support.
