About this Senior Software Application Engineer – Dynamics 365 Support role at Unisys
What success looks like in this role:
We are seeking a Senior Software Application Engineer to serve as a key escalation point for Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure-hosted applications. This role is responsible for managing complex incidents, performing root cause analysis, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement across support processes, documentation, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Support and troubleshoot Dynamics 365 Commerce, CRM, and Case Management solutions.
Lead investigation and resolution of complex application, integration, and data-related issues.
Perform root cause analysis and coordinate escalations to L3 or vendor support teams when needed.
Manage incident triage, prioritization, and resolution through ServiceNow.
Support Power Apps, Power BI, and Azure-hosted environments.
Create and maintain high-quality SOPs, knowledge articles, and support documentation.
Identify recurring issues, recommend process improvements, and contribute to automation initiatives.
Mentor and coach junior engineers while providing guidance on troubleshooting and best practices.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams on incident status and resolution progress.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
5–8 years of experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce, CRM, and Case Management applications.
Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident management experience across complex environments.
Experience with Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power BI.
Strong understanding of integrations, data flows, and system dependencies.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, Confluence, Jira, and Azure environments.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and take end-to-end ownership of complex issues.
Proven experience mentoring team members and improving support processes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
ITIL Foundation (v4 or v5) certification required.
Nice to Have:
Experience with SAP or other integration platforms
Power Automate, automation initiatives
AI-enabled support solutions
Certifications such as ITIL Intermediate or PRINCE2 Agile.
