We are seeking applicants who are passionate to provide exceptional maintenance support to ADF satellite communication systems on a fixed-term basis.
As a Field Technician you will provide operational maintenance support of SATCOM terminals and rack-based RF / communications equipment based at HMAS Harman. We are after a senior technician and will provide complete system specific training to enable the applicant to work independently immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision of specialist on and off-site maintenance services to SATCOM SPO assets
- Provision of Configuration Management support to selected mission systems
- Provision of warehouse and supply support activities for Breakdown Spares, Repairable Items and Support and Test Equipment
- Ensure compliance with governance and ITAR obligations
- Produce routine equipment maintenance reports
- Maintain strong customer relations and participate as a rostered member of the 24 x 7 x 365 on-call team
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Trade Certificate III or IV in Communications or Electronic Engineering
- Senior technician will have at least three years relevant experience post-qualification
- Knowledge of and experience with terrestrial or Satellite Communications Systems
- Proficient in Microsoft office tools, especially Excel
- Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV-1 Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at https://www.agsva.gov.au/applicants/eligibility-suitability
