Salary Range:
$120,000 USD - $140,000 USDSpecific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Job Description:
As a member of the Research & Development team, this position will direct and expand research across the Investment Division. Activities will include initiating, fostering, and collaborating on data-oriented research projects with other associates involved in investment research, manager research, portfolio construction and analysis, asset allocation and implementation. This position will oversee and create quantitative solutions and analysis in support of these research projects and oversee bringing these projects to fruition.
One of the key responsibilities for this role will be to support and develop our FX and futures overlay platform and research in addition to quantitative research projects across equity, fixed income, and private assets.
This position will provide material guidance to junior members of the team.
Your Core Responsibilities:
Conducting bespoke research projects on investment topics across all asset classes, strategies and security types, but especially FX and derivative research projects.
Portfolio construction research
Directing and conducting research using Python and SQL and various internal tools, databases, and systems.
Strong coding and data analytic skills.
Partnering with associates from around the Investment Division to bring research projects to completion
Your Expertise:
3-5 years of relevant experience in areas such as FX strategy research, derivatives, equity or fixed income portfolio construction, factor research, strategy backtesting, optimizations, machine learning, and coding.
Master's degree or higher preferred - Finance, Math, Computer Science or Economics preferred
CFA, or progress towards, preferred.
Understanding of quantitative portfolio management.
Programming skills in Python and SQL preferred with knowledge of production coding techniques.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to be an effective team member on projects working across the Investment Division (includes portfolio management, manager research, asset allocation and implementation).
Ability to work autonomously on a wide range of projects simultaneously while directing junior associates.
Proven ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment.
