Job Description:

Job Summary**

Hitachi Rail STS, is seeking a Senior Project Planner to lead and optimize complex project schedules for large-scale technology and infrastructure initiatives, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

Job Responsibilities**

* Develop, maintain, and monitor comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, and resource requirements.
* Conduct critical path analysis, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project adherence to timelines.
* Prepare and present detailed progress reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to project teams and senior management.
* Implement and continuously improve planning processes and methodologies to enhance project efficiency and predictability.
* Mentor and guide junior planners, fostering a culture of excellence in project planning and control.
* Ensure compliance with company standards, project management best practices, and relevant industry regulations.
* Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather planning input and gain consensus on project timelines and milestones.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical field.
* Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within large-scale technology, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
* Proven expertise in using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project at an advanced level.
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, AACEI, Agile) and scheduling principles.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
* Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
* Demonstrated experience in leading planning efforts for multi-disciplinary projects.
* PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
