Position Description

Job description
ENSCO Inc. is a diverse engineering and technology company that provides engineering, science, and advanced technology solutions supporting mission success, safety, and security for government and commercial customers worldwide.

We are seeking a Project Analyst to work with Government mission leaders, project owners, technical teams, operators, acquisition professionals, cybersecurity stakeholders, test organizations, and industry partners delivering critical space and defense capabilities. The analyst will turn broad mission priorities into visible work, maintain a reliable view of progress and readiness, and ensure decision owners have accurate information when choices must be made.

This role is central to pre-prototype planning and capability maturation. The analyst will connect schedules, work products, risks, actions, stakeholder commitments, and transition needs across concurrent efforts. Success requires disciplined analysis, strong written communication, attention to data quality, and the judgment to surface a weak assumption or missed dependency before it becomes a delivery problem. Government decision owners retain all formal authority.

Primary Responsibilities

• Translate priorities into executable work. Clarify the mission outcome, scope, assumptions, work products, owners, milestones, approval points, and evidence required for the next decision.
• Maintain the integrated project picture. Build and update schedules, milestone networks, action registers, decision logs, deliverable trackers, and readiness views across concurrent projects.
• Manage work product status. Track planned and actual submission dates, review status, acceptance or rejection, Government actions, corrective actions, and the next month's forecast.
• Identify risks and dependencies early. Analyze schedule conflicts, resource constraints, stakeholder commitments, technical handoffs, security activities, test events, training needs, and transition dependencies; elevate consequences with practical response options.
• Coordinate the stakeholder rhythm. Prepare and facilitate project kickoffs, working sessions, status reviews, and decision forums; capture actions, owners, due dates, decisions, and unresolved issues through closure.
• Produce decision-ready products. Develop concise status reports, briefing materials, schedule and dependency views, risk summaries, alternative comparisons, meeting records, and recommendations that allow leaders to act.
• Connect planning to rapid learning. Track the analyses, demonstrations, interface events, prototypes, and user feedback needed to test important assumptions before the Government commits to a larger acquisition or fielding path.
• Build trusted working relationships. Learn what each organization must accomplish, communicate facts clearly, resolve documentation or coordination gaps without blame, and follow through on commitments across organizational boundaries.
• Improve project workflows. Identify recurring delays or quality problems, simplify tracking and review steps, standardize useful templates, and communicate process changes so teams can execute consistently.

Qualifications Required
• Bachelor's degree in business, project or program management, operations, data analytics, public administration, communications, education, a technical field, or a closely related discipline, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience coordinating projects, programs, operations, training, or other complex work in a Government, defense, intelligence, technology, education, or similarly regulated environment.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain schedules, milestones, action items, decision records, deliverable status, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder commitments across multiple concurrent efforts.
• Experience reviewing records or work products for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established requirements before submission or processing.
• Ability to analyze project information, identify missing or conflicting data, determine the operational or schedule consequence, and coordinate corrective action to closure.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively with Government, military, civilian, contractor, technical, operational, and external partner personnel.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain process or requirement changes and obtain timely responses from multiple stakeholders.
• Experience handling sensitive, controlled, proprietary, or classified information with discretion and in accordance with established policy.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and support periodic coordination or travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico, as required.
• U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret security clearance required at time of hire.

Qualifications Desired
• Master's degree in a relevant business, management, analytical, operational, educational, or technical discipline.
• Current Top Secret or TS/SCI eligibility.
• Experience organizing information for acquisition strategy, alternatives, market research, cost estimates, schedules, procurement planning, or future contract and prototype actions.
• Working knowledge of project scheduling, portfolio tracking, risk and issue management, configuration control, records management, and Government work-product review processes.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project, Power BI, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, or comparable tools used for analysis, collaboration, scheduling, and status reporting.
• Project management, agile delivery, process improvement, data analytics, records management, or related professional credentials.
