About this Senior Product Manager role at 10x Banking
We’re on a mission to make banking 10x better.
At 10x Banking ("ten-ex banking") we’re transforming the financial industry with our cloud-native core banking platform. 10x's platform powers global banks and financial institutions including Chase UK, Old Mutual and Westpac.
We offer a diverse, global community that thrives on innovation and collaboration. Tackling exciting challenges with the utmost integrity, we aim to make a positive impact through our work for our clients, their customers and the communities we work in.
Be part of something bigger – join us and transform and industry.
About the role
As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead two closely connected product areas within our core banking platform: our foundational core domain services and our migration tooling. The foundational services provide the common model and capabilities through which banks create and manage customers and organisations, financial products, and the accounts that connect them. The migration tooling enables clients to move complex customer, account, product and transaction data from legacy platforms onto 10x safely, efficiently and with confidence.
This is a senior individual contributor role with significant scope and influence. You will set product direction across multiple engineering teams, shape cross-platform architecture and sequencing, and work directly with clients undertaking complex core modernisation programmes. You will be expected to operate comfortably at both strategic and technical depth, turning difficult platform and data problems into clear product outcomes and executable plans.
Our product teams are cross-functional and durable, bringing product and engineering together to deliver measurable customer and business value. You will partner particularly closely with engineering leaders, architects, implementation teams and client technology stakeholders.
What you will do
- Own the vision, strategy, outcomes and roadmap for the foundational core domain services and migration tooling, aligning them with 10x product strategy and client needs.
- Lead product work across the teams responsible for parties, products and accounts, creating a coherent and externally understandable platform experience rather than a collection of internal services.
- Define how clients migrate data onto 10x, covering the end-to-end journey from data mapping and preparation through ingestion, validation, reconciliation, rehearsal, cutover and post-migration assurance.
- Work at technical depth with engineers and architects on domain models, APIs, event schemas, data contracts, sequencing, performance, observability, resiliency and operational controls.
- Partner with client technology, data and migration teams to understand source platforms, target operating models, migration risks and integration constraints.
- Set clear product outcomes and make evidence-based trade-offs across platform simplification, migration capability, client commitments, reliability, scalability and time to value.
- Lead discovery for complex and ambiguous problems, combining direct client engagement, technical investigation, operational insight, market context and product analytics.
- Translate strategy and customer problems into clear requirements, hypotheses and delivery increments without prescribing engineering solutions unnecessarily.
- Coordinate dependencies across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Implementation, Support and Commercial teams, resolving ambiguity and driving decisions.
- Act as a trusted senior product representative in client and prospect discussions, explaining platform concepts, migration approaches, trade-offs and roadmap direction credibly to both technical and executive audiences.
- Define measures of success and use data to assess product adoption, migration performance, reliability, client effort and commercial impact.
- Help evolve how product and engineering work at 10x, including the responsible adoption of agentic, AI-assisted product development lifecycle and software development lifecycle practices.
- Coach and influence other product managers, raising the quality of technical product thinking, discovery, documentation and decision-making across the organisation.
What success looks like
In your first 12 months, you will:
- Establish a clear strategy, outcome framework and prioritised roadmap across foundational core services and migration tooling.
- Create strong alignment across the teams responsible for parties, products, accounts and migrations, with clear ownership, interfaces and shared outcomes.
- Deepen 10x’s ability to support safe, repeatable and scalable client migrations, reducing friction and increasing confidence for both prospects and live clients.
- Drive measurable improvements in the usability, reliability, performance or adoption of the product areas you own.
- Build trusted relationships with engineering, architecture, implementation, client-facing teams and client technology leaders.
- Become a recognised subject matter expert who can represent these product areas with credibility from detailed engineering discussions through to executive and client conversations.
- Make practical progress towards more agentic product and software development practices, demonstrating improvements in quality, speed, traceability or decision-making rather than adopting AI for its own sake.
- Raise the standard of technical product management and cross-team product leadership across 10x.
Requirements
Ideally, you will have...
- Experience as a Senior Product Manager, Lead Product Manager or equivalent in B2B SaaS, fintech, banking infrastructure or enterprise technology.
- A strong record of setting direction and delivering outcomes for technically complex platform products used by multiple clients, teams or product lines.
- The technical fluency to work credibly with engineers and architects on APIs, event-driven systems, distributed services, data models and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience owning products where data integrity, correctness, scalability, auditability and operational resilience are critical.
- Experience leading multiple related product areas or engineering teams and aligning their work around a coherent strategy and customer outcome.
- Strong product judgement, including the ability to move between long-term platform strategy, detailed technical constraints and immediate client needs.
- Experience working directly with enterprise clients and senior stakeholders through complex implementation or transformation programmes.
- A proven ability to influence across organisational boundaries, make difficult prioritisation decisions and create clarity without relying on formal authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in straightforward commercial and customer language.
- A rigorous approach to discovery, outcome definition, measurement and product decision-making.
We'd especially love to hear from you if you have...
- Hands-on product experience with core banking platforms, banking ledgers, account or product domain models, or other systems of record.
- Led or materially contributed to a core banking migration, or another complex, high-volume data migration between platforms.
- Experience of migration patterns using bulk file transfer and object storage such as Amazon S3, as well as API-led ingestion and validation.
- Experience with data mapping, transformation, schema evolution, sequencing, reconciliation, cutover, rollback, migration rehearsals or migration observability.
- Delivered API-first or event-driven products and worked with technologies or concepts such as REST APIs, Kafka, microservices and AWS.
- Worked on products that support progressive modernisation, coexistence between legacy and target platforms, or phased customer and product migration.
- Experience introducing or scaling agentic and AI-assisted practices across the product development lifecycle (PDLC) and software development lifecycle (SDLC), with a clear understanding of where human judgement, governance and quality controls remain essential.
- Experience using AI agents or automation to improve activities such as discovery synthesis, requirements development, solution exploration, specification, testing, code delivery, documentation or knowledge management.
- Experience operating across multiple geographies or regulated financial services environments.

10x Ways of Working
We recognise that a better work/life balance can improve people’s motivation, performance and overall wellbeing. That’s why if there’s scope in the working day, we have flexibility around our core hours to do the things that matter to you.
We also know some work is done better at home and some is done better in the office, and that a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t enable high performance. That’s why 10x is a remote-enabled organisation and supports agile working. This role has an office attendance requirement of approx. 2 days per quarter, in agreement with your line manager.
Additionally, everyone comes together at our quarterly 10x Together Days to collaborate, align on strategy, and socialise. As all employees are employed on London-based contracts, commuting costs to the office are covered by employees and not by 10x.
