Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for a Senior Planner, CCS Product Development and Program Management to join our team in Franklin, TN. As part of Nissan's Connected Car Services (CCS) organization, you will play a key role in defining, developing, and delivering next-generation connected vehicle capabilities, digital services, telematics solutions, fleet services, and software-enabled customer experiences. This position combines strategic technical and product planning with program execution leadership to ensure connected vehicle initiatives are successfully developed, launched, and commercialized.

The Senior Planner, CCS Product Development & Program Management serves as a critical bridge between business strategy, customer requirements, technical product development, and connected vehicle platform stakeholders.

This role is responsible for managing connected service programs while supporting the technical planning, requirements development, solution definition, and cross-functional execution necessary to deliver Nissan's connected vehicle roadmap. The position works across Product Management, Engineering, IT, Data Platforms, Digital Services, Cybersecurity, Legal, Purchasing, Suppliers, and Global Nissan organizations to ensure successful development and deployment of connected vehicle solutions.

The ideal candidate possesses strong program management capabilities, a solid understanding of connected vehicle ecosystems and telematics platforms, and the ability to translate business objectives into actionable technical requirements while driving projects from concept through launch.

A Day in the Life:

Product & Project Management

• Lead planning and development of connected vehicle products and capabilities, telematics services, vehicle data platforms, APIs, cloud services, mobile applications, OTA functionality, EV services, and fleet solutions from concept through deployment.
• Develop and maintain an integrated product portfolio of individual product roadmaps which depict feature evolution to meet customer needs and revenue objectives.
• Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
• Coordinate large cross-functional teams to support development and implementation of telematics-based products and services, fleet, EV, and mobility services.
• Assist in launch readiness planning, operational support planning, and deployment activities.
• Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, technology providers, and suppliers.
• Monitor project performance through scorecards, KPIs, executive dashboards, and status reporting.
• Manage change requests, scope modifications, budget impacts, and supplier deliverables.
• Identify issues, develop mitigation plans, and escalate critical risks when necessary.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

Technical Planning & Requirements Management

• Translate customer, business, operational, and regulatory requirements into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
• Facilitate requirements gathering workshops with Product Management, Engineering, IT, Data Platform, Operations, and Business Development teams.
• Maintain traceability between customer needs, business requirements, technical requirements, and delivered solutions.
• Coordinate preparation of technical documentation required for development and executive approvals.
• Assist with governance and planning activities associated with connected vehicle ecosystems.

Who We’re Looking for:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience, having been responsible for leading large cross-functional projects.
• Exceptional program/project management; prior experience as a technical project manager or leader on both large and small projects. Able to manage more than one project at a time.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills both oral and written, not hesitating to ask questions to gain a deeper understanding and encourage critical thinking.
• Effectively presents to both large and small audiences, conveying information transparently and engaging with diverse groups.
• Exhibits a strong sense of curiosity and a willingness to delve into issues, thoroughly investigating to uncover solutions.
• Ability to perform work onsite at NNA HQ Franklin, TN
• Travel: 10% domestic and international travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Information Technology roles such as programmer, engineer, or analysts a plus.
• Experience with connected vehicle technologies, telematics, fleet management, mobility, or digital service products.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
• Prior experience in a start-up or fast paced IT/IS environment focused on service delivery or planning is desired.

• Background in software delivery, IT systems analysis, engineering, or technology planning.
• Experience within automotive OEM, mobility, telecommunications, or digital services organizations.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, privacy, and data governance requirements affecting connected services.
