About the role:

As the Senior OT Infrastructure Engineer, you will take a hands-on technical role in the delivery and integration of infrastructure across complex OT and industrial environments.

Working as part of a focused project delivery team, you will install, configure, secure and support Windows and Linux-based infrastructure and associated hardware, supporting integration, testing and commissioning within operational environments.

You will act as a technical point of contact on site, working directly with clients, vendors and design authorities to troubleshoot integration challenges and ensure infrastructure is delivered in accordance with project designs, standards and security requirements.

This is a senior delivery-focused opportunity requiring strong infrastructure capability, practical knowledge of OT / ICS environments and the confidence to operate independently within demanding engineering projects.

The role includes international project deployment, with current opportunities involving periods working on client site in Dubai, providing exposure to major engineering and construction programmes and complex international OT environments.

As a Senior OT Infrastructure Engineer, you will:

• Install, configure and support Windows-based infrastructure across OT and industrial environments
• Support Linux-based systems within operational environments
• Install, configure and support server and associated infrastructure hardware
• Apply Windows and Linux system hardening in accordance with industry best practices, project standards and security requirements
• Support the integration of infrastructure and vendor systems within OT environments
• Apply an understanding of TCP/IP, Modbus, VLANs, routing and switching when supporting infrastructure integration
• Undertake infrastructure integration, testing and commissioning activities
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, system and vendor integration issues during project delivery
• Act as a technical point of contact on site within a small, focused delivery team
• Produce accurate technical documentation and diagrams, including functional and detailed designs, equipment configurations, test plans, procedures, integration documentation and commissioning records
• Work closely with engineering, construction, network integration and cyber security teams
• Liaise with design authorities to resolve technical issues within defined design constraints
• Work directly with senior client stakeholders, influencing and guiding technical decisions
• Challenge proposed approaches appropriately where required while maintaining strong client relationships
• Deliver effectively within structured, fast-paced project environments and demanding project timescales

Requirements

You’ll bring strong hands-on infrastructure engineering experience combined with practical knowledge of OT / ICS and industrial environments.

• Strong experience with Windows operating systems, particularly Windows Server 2022 and Windows 10
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Experience hardening Windows and Linux systems in accordance with industry best practices and standards
• Experience installing, configuring and supporting server and associated infrastructure hardware
• Knowledge and practical experience of OT / ICS environments
• Understanding of enterprise and industrial networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and switching
• Understanding of industrial protocols such as Modbus
• Strong infrastructure troubleshooting and technical problem-solving capability
• Experience supporting vendor integration within technical or industrial environments
• Experience supporting system integration, testing and commissioning activities
• Ability to produce accurate technical designs, equipment configurations, test plans, procedures and commissioning documentation
• Strong attention to detail when working with defined standards, designs and templates
• Experience working within structured engineering or technical project delivery environments
• Confidence operating as a technical point of contact within a site environment
• Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge appropriately
• Ability to work effectively with vendors, engineering teams, network specialists, cyber security teams and design authorities
• Experience across engineering, construction, network integration and/or cyber security projects would be advantageous
• Flexibility to undertake international project deployment, including periods working on client site in Dubai
