Reporting to Sr. Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for designing, developing, modifying and evaluating overcurrent protection products. You will assess results for applicability, validity and conformance with design specifications, while performing skilled technical and project development tasks.

About the job:

• 50% of time will be spent on the development of overcurrent protection products. You will lead new product development projects with the support and guidance of the manager, while managing the technical aspects of the development process. Responsibilities include developing initial concepts and prototype plans, executing projects from planning and feasibility stages through production release, managing project resources and schedules, preparing technical documentation such as DFMEA, drawings and validation plans, conducting regular project review meetings, and providing effective solutions to technical challenges.
• 20% of time will be focused on researching new materials and technologies that may benefit new product development or support the creation of "new-to-market" products. This research includes experimentation and prototyping activities to validate the potential benefits of new technologies.
• 15% of time will be utilized to provide technical support to sales, marketing, process development and quality teams related to product performance, capability and reliability.

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in new product development. Experience with electronic components, especially fuse, breaker or relay development, is preferred. Ability to independently develop products and lead projects.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English are a plus.
• Experience with engineering tools such as 3D/2D CAD and strong knowledge of APQP and DFMEA are preferred.
• Result-oriented and self-motivated professional.
