Senior Motion Designer 2D/3D (m/f/x)

ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are looking for a Senior Motion Designer who balances high-level craft with systems-level thinking. This isn't a role for templated content churn; it’s about setting a high creative bar and building the frameworks that keep that quality intact at high volume, particularly across Paid Social. You will use AI tools to accelerate production, keeping human creativity at the center of every decision. 

Based in our Berlin studio as part of the Global Brand Team, you will report to the Video Creative Lead. You’ll act as their key partner in translating brand storytelling into motion — owning the creative process from inception to final cut while evolving our motion design system across global markets.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

Own the craft. Concept, storyboard, design, and animate 2D and 3D motion assets across TV, Digital OOH, Paid Social, and YouTube. 

Scale Brand Systems: Evolve and maintain our global motion design guidelines. Build reusable project templates, workflows, and asset libraries that internal designers and external agencies can seamlessly execute against. 

Integrate AI Thoughtfully: Leverage modern AI tools (e.g., Runway, Midjourney) to optimize production speed without compromising brand aesthetic or creative standards. 

Collaborate & Mentor: Partner with creative and brand leads to present work to stakeholders, while guiding junior designers and freelancers to raise overall craft quality. 

Obsess over details: Execute precise timing, easing, pacing, and basic sound design. Master the invisible stuff that separates ok motion from unforgettable motion.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

• Experience: 5+ years of dedicated motion design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in both 2D and 3D execution. 
• Systems Mindset: Proven ability to build production pipelines, style frameworks, and scalable workflows for high-volume content environments. 
• Technical Toolkit: Advanced proficiency in After Effects, Cinema 4D, Blender, Figma, and the broader Adobe Creative Cloud suite. 
• Emerging Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience integrating AI-assisted animation, editing, or image-generation tools into creative workflows. 
• Conceptual & Nuanced Craft: Exceptional eye for rhythm and pacing, strong sensitivity to brand context, and the communication skills to navigate stakeholder feedback effectively. 
• Solid brand experience. You've applied and evolved brand systems before, not just made pretty one-off videos. 
• Meticulous Craft & Sensitivity: Uncompromising taste and attention to detail (from timing and easing to brand nuance and context) backed by the emotional intelligence to navigate feedback and read both a brief and a room well. 

Nice to Have: 

• Experience in sound design or an intuitive musical sense for pacing and rhythm. ● Prior experience working within the food, D2C, or tech sectors.
