Westgold is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Engineer to support the safe and efficient delivery of underground mining operations.

Reporting to the Manager - Operations, this role focuses on monitoring mine performance, analysing production and cost metrics, identifying improvement opportunities, and providing operational support to site leadership teams.

Role responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyse production, physicals, costs, and operational KPIs.
• Provide operational reporting, forecasts, and recommendations against budget and mine plan.
• Identify and implement productivity, efficiency, and business improvement initiatives.
• Support optimisation of mining methods, mine design, and underground production activities.
• Review equipment utilisation and work with maintenance teams to maximise fleet performance.
• Conduct operational audits and support continuous improvement projects.
• Provide technical guidance to operational teams.
• Fulfil responsibilities as the site's Appointed Explosives Officer.
• Maintain compliance with all safety, statutory, and environmental requirements.

About you:

• First Class Mine Manager's Certificate or WA Underground Shift Supervisor's Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years' underground mining experience.
• Experience in underground operations, mine planning, or shift supervision.
• Strong understanding of underground production, long hole stoping, and operational drivers.
• Ability to analyse operational data and translate findings into practical outcomes.
• Dangerous Goods Security Card, National Police Clearance, and C Class Driver's Licence.
