About this Senior Marketing Data Analyst role at Viamericas
The Senior Marketing Data Analyst is responsible for transforming marketing, customer, agent, product, and geographic data into actionable insights that drive business growth, customer retention, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making. This role develops and maintains dashboards, analyzes campaign and product performance, supports forecasting, identifies market opportunities, and delivers reporting for key marketing initiatives, including ViaMall. The position supervises a small team and partners closely with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Product, and Operations to improve business performance through data-driven decisions.
Duties and responsibilities
- Build and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reporting tools that track business performance across core money transfer, digital products, agents, corridors, geographies, customers, and key marketing programs.
- Use Excel, SQL, Power BI, and other analytical tools to deliver accurate analysis, automated dashboards, metric reports, and data visualizations for Marketing, Sales, Finance, Product, Operations, and leadership teams.
- Support forecasting and planning processes by analyzing historical performance, seasonality, market trends, campaign activity, and product adoption patterns.
- Track, forecast, and measure the performance of marketing programs, communications, campaigns, and product adoption by geography, customer segment, agent, and channel. Build tools to evaluate ROI, business impact, and execution effectiveness.
- Maintain clear data definitions, reporting logic, quality checks, and documentation to ensure dashboards and analyses are accurate, consistent, and trusted across business teams.
- Monitor and analyze competitors’ pricing, distribution, market activity, promotional strategies, and available market-share indicators to identify risks, opportunities, and business implications.
- Use mapping and geographic analysis tools to identify opportunity areas, evaluate agent coverage, analyze customer and demographic patterns, and support market expansion decisions.
- Analyze customer behavior, demographics, transaction patterns, product usage, and retention trends to identify growth opportunities, market potential, and factors influencing demand.
- Own the operational management and reporting discipline for the ViaMall program, including inventory visibility, cost tracking, usage reporting, budget controls, and performance metrics. Supervise the buyer responsible for purchasing, vendor coordination, production follow-up, and physical distribution of POP materials.
- Supervise and develop a small team, including at least one analyst and one buyer, ensuring timely delivery of reporting, analysis, ViaMall operations, and stakeholder support.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Finance, Product, Operations, and leadership to understand business needs, define reporting requirements, and translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Make sure you and your team read, acknowledge, and comply with Viamericas’ Staff Information Security Policy.
- Make sure you and your team attend periodic Information Security training provided by Viamericas.
- Report any event that might be an Information Security Incident: clicked on a malicious link, downloaded, and opened a suspicious file, etc.
Information Security Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bilingual English and Spanish required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum five years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, marketing analytics, or related analytical roles, including experience working with large datasets and business stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel, SQL, and Power BI required.
- Experience working with customer, transaction, campaign, geographic, or financial performance data required.
- Experience with Python, R, Salesforce CRM, Amazon QuickSight, AWS, Google Analytics, or other digital/data analytics platforms preferred.
- Experience supervising, coordinating, or mentoring analysts, buyers, coordinators, or cross-functional support teams preferred.

- Valid U.S. visa and ability to travel to the United States as required.
