About this Senior Manager - Account Management role at Maersk
Job Purpose
The Senior Manager, Key Account Management is responsible for managing, retaining, and growing strategic customer accounts by building strong customer relationships and delivering effective end-to-end logistics solutions.
This role serves as the primary point of contact between key customers and internal functions, ensuring service excellence, operational performance, profitability, customer satisfaction, and sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop assigned key accounts while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Understand customers’ supply chain needs and identify opportunities for business growth, cross-selling, and upselling.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), account reviews, contract renewals, tenders, and commercial discussions.
- Monitor revenue, profitability, service KPIs, SLA performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Product, Finance, and other internal functions to meet customer requirements.
- Manage customer escalations and drive root-cause resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop account plans, forecasts, and business growth strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, including key account management or commercial management.
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations and end-to-end supply chain solutions.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
