POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Maintenance Technician provides expertise for equipment installation, start-up and maintenance of plant equipment.
2nd shift is Monday-Thursday 4:00p-2:30a; Occasional day time OT on Fridays
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned, as necessary.
1. Preventative Maintenance (40%)
Perform routine tasks such as greasing bearings, changing belts, changing oil, performing inspections, cleaning equipment, etc to maintain equipment reliability.
Support production workers during routine preventative maintenance activities; (TPM).
Identify key preventative tasks and implement them into company CMMS, to increase machine reliability.
Optimize machine cycle times to maximize machine output.
Equipment Repair (25%)
Install, repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment.
Dismantle machinery to remove or replace defective parts.
Optimize use of maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies needed to repair equipment to OEM standards.
Repair facility and building items as needed.
Equipment Troubleshooting (25%)
Identify complex electrical, mechanical and pneumatic problems on production machinery and facility equipment.
Locates sources of problems by observing machinery in operation.
Utilize tools to isolate malfunctioning equipment (ex. Multimeter, tachometer, calipers, etc.).
Maximize machine output by optimizing machine cycle times.
Administrative (10%)
Log all work performed into the Company CMMS.
Complete end of shift reports communicating between maintenance and production departments.
Order replacement parts for stock or parts for repair.
Work with other departments to schedule downtime for repairs.
Performing housekeeping, making sure area is clean at all times.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Associates Degree in related field or Technical Certificate highly desired.
5+ years experience maintaining and repairing equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Specialized Skills and Experience:
Good computer skills including Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Good English language skills both verbal and written (Spanish speaking a plus)
Travel Requirement:
Occasional travel as required.
Physical Requirements:
Must pass pre-employment physical.
Lift: Must be able to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
Push/Pull: Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds.
Stand: Must be able to stand 80% - 85% of the day.
Sitting: Must be able to sit 25% of the day.
Twisting/Bending: Must be able to twist/bend 75% of the day.
Squatting, Climbing and/or Crawling: Must be able to squat/climb/crawl 25% of the day.
Able to work on heights, climb several flights of stairs (over 5 stories) daily if required.
