Position Summary

As a senior member of the Mainframe Automation team, this position provides technical leadership in accelerating the design, development, and performance of automation solutions; integrating capabilities across platforms such as Envision X, AIR, and Sidekick; and guiding the architecture of Automation Point, OPS/MVS, and z/OSMF environments. The role partners across teams to translate complex business and operational needs into scalable, resilient solutions that advance automation strategy and improve client outcomes.

Key Areas of Focus for this Role

·        Leverage deep systems expertise and project leadership to architect and deliver scalable automation across multiple platforms.

·        Engineer and guide solutions that align tool capabilities with complex business requirements to deliver a superior client experience.

·        Lead the identification and design of solutions that reduce or eliminate manual intervention, enabling teams to focus on higher-value problem management by automating corrective actions in response to defined alert types.

·        Lead the delivery of high-quality solutions using agile development methodologies, setting technical direction and promoting effective engineering practices.

·        Evaluate the performance and effectiveness of existing tools, identify systemic gaps and improvement opportunities, and drive enhancements that enable proactive detection before issues become availability-impacting incidents.

Required Qualifications

·        BS Degree in computer science or related field and 10 years’ development experience is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·        Passionate about creating a world-class client experience and building quality solutions via technology.

·        Motivated by solving complex problems, identifying opportunities consistently improve the performance of tools with automation.

·        Passion and aptitude to learn, curious, sees every challenge as an opportunity.

·        Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence, convey information at an appropriate level to the intended audience, and build trusted relationships.

·        Brings curiosity, keen technical insight, passion for learning that will be instrumental in assessing, analyzing, and uncovering new and better ways to deliver solutions.

Other Qualifications

·        Software development and Programming - Writing and documenting code

·        Programming languages: REXX, Assembler

·        Code hosting platforms for version control and source code management such as Github

·        Software Development Issue tracking and Agile project management Tools such as Jira or Bugzilla (Scrum and Kanban Boards)

·        Mainframe Operating systems and their sub-components - z/OS, MVS

·        Software packaging and distribution

·        IT Service Management (ITSM) - Approach to delivering IT services

·        IT operations management (ITOM) - Software that handles the tools, environment, and processes for operating such services

·        ITIL Framework - Describes the life cycle of service in detail

·        DevOPS and Agile methodology principles and practices

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $60,000 to $142,000 salary, based on a fulltime schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
