Modernize, a QuinStreet company, is seeking a Senior Inbound Marketing Manager to lead the B2B inbound marketing function within the home services vertical. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, this Senior Manager-level role is responsible for driving inbound marketing strategy, marketing qualified leads (MQLs), pipeline growth, and revenue impact while leading a small remote team.
This role oversees inbound marketing, events, and marketing operations, creating alignment across all three functions to support business objectives. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, capable of setting direction, executing initiatives, coaching team members, and leveraging data to make informed decisions. Success requires strong leadership, attention to detail, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Product, IT, and Account Management teams.
Responsibilities
- Own the inbound marketing strategy and performance, including MQL generation, organic and paid acquisition channels, landing pages, and lead capture programs.
- Establish and achieve MQL, pipeline, and revenue goals, with a focus on lead quality and business impact.
- Analyze funnel performance and marketing data to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
- Develop and oversee the B2B events and trade show program, ensuring each event has clear objectives, measurable outcomes, and consistent brand messaging.
- Oversee the marketing technology stack, reporting infrastructure, and workflow processes through the Marketing Operations Manager.
- Ensure data integrity, accurate attribution, and reliable funnel reporting, utilizing Salesforce as the system of record.
- Maintain intake, approval, and operational processes that support efficient execution across marketing functions.
- Develop and execute a unified marketing strategy across inbound marketing, events, and marketing operations aligned to pipeline and revenue goals.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product/IT, and Account Management teams to advance key business initiatives.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of marketing professionals and managers, establishing clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations.
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the marketing organization.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and business results.
- Provide leadership with clear, data-driven recommendations, highlighting risks, opportunities, and trade-offs to support decision-making.
Requirements
- 6+ years of B2B marketing experience, including at least 2 years managing and developing marketing professionals or managers.
- Deep hands-on experience leading an inbound marketing or demand generation function, including MQLs, inbound channels, and pipeline contribution.
- Experience managing multiple marketing disciplines, including inbound marketing, events or field marketing, and marketing operations.
- Strong experience utilizing Salesforce and CRM data to measure marketing performance and contribution to pipeline and revenue.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
- Proven experience building recommendations based on data analysis and resolving data gaps before making decisions.
- Strong attention to detail with a track record of delivering accurate, high-quality work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present risks, trade-offs, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate business impact and drive practical solutions.
- Experience with Tableau or other marketing reporting and dashboarding tools preferred.
- Experience in the home improvement, home services, marketplace, lead generation, or B2B SaaS industries preferred.
- Experience working in a remote corporate environment and building marketing operations processes preferred.
The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 USD to $122,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits; (2) retirement benefits; (3) the amount of paid days off (paid sick leave, parental leave, paid time off, or vacation benefits); (4) any other tax-reportable benefits.
