About the role:
The Senior ICT Support Specialist works across a broad range of technologies, providing advanced technical support to end users while contributing to the administration and maintenance of CDC ICT environment. The role combines senior service desk responsibilities with systems administration capability, ensuring incidents are resolved efficiently while supporting the ongoing reliability, security and performance of the organisation’s IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced IT support for hardware, software, network, application, and end-user issues, including managing escalations and ensuring excellent customer service.
- Diagnose and resolve complex incidents and service requests while maintaining accurate ticketing, documentation, and communication.
- Administer and support core infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Group Policy, DNS, networking, file services, and endpoint management.
- Manage and support corporate ICT assets, including laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, MDM solutions, and business applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver projects, upgrades, migrations, technical documentation, and continuous service improvements.
- Provide leadership and mentoring within the ICT team, supporting junior staff, sharing technical knowledge, and contributing to a positive team culture.
About you:
- Minimum five years’ experience in senior Service Desk, ICT Support or Systems Administration role
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Entra IS (Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune and supporting Windows 10/11 desktop environments
- Sound understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, DNS and TCP/IP)
- Experience managing ICT assets and endpoint devices, participating in infrastructure projects and technology implementations.
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
Essential:
Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain an NV1 Security Clearance. This role is a fully onsite role.
