Position Summary

The Senior HVAC Superintendent provides field leadership and oversight for multiple HVAC service projects from mobilization through completion. This role is responsible for coordinating daily field activities, managing manpower and subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

The Senior HVAC Superintendent works closely with Project Managers, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and field leadership to ensure successful project execution. This position serves as a senior field leader and helps provide direction and support to HVAC field teams across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide field leadership and oversight for multiple HVAC service projects.

• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to meet project needs and schedules.

• Manage field employee time entry and ensure labor is accurately tracked to projects.

• Plan and coordinate daily and weekly field activities with Project Managers and field leadership.

• Monitor project schedules, manpower needs, productivity, and overall field progress.

• Ensure HVAC installations, repairs, replacements, and service project work meet company quality standards and project requirements.

• Maintain a strong focus on jobsite safety and ensure employees and subcontractors follow company and customer safety requirements.

• Conduct site visits and provide direction, coaching, and support to HVAC field personnel.

• Coordinate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and other trades to resolve field issues and maintain project progress.

• Identify potential scheduling, manpower, material, or operational challenges and communicate them to project leadership.

• Assist with project mobilization, planning, closeout, punch-list completion, and turnover.

• Support General Superintendents and operational leadership with manpower planning and overall field execution.

• Promote accountability, productivity, teamwork, and professional standards across field teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive commercial HVAC field experience, preferably within service projects, replacements, retrofits, or mechanical construction.

• Previous experience supervising HVAC technicians, foremen, subcontractors, and multiple concurrent projects.

• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, equipment, installation practices, and field operations.

• Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, schedules, and project documentation.

• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing field priorities.

• Working knowledge of jobsite safety requirements and industry best practices.

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.

• Previous experience in a Senior Superintendent, Superintendent, or similar HVAC field leadership role.

• Experience overseeing multiple HVAC service projects simultaneously.

• Applicable HVAC licenses, certifications, or manufacturer training are a plus.
