Lucid Motors is seeking a seasoned Senior level Global Supply Chain Manager Motor Gearbox (Powertrain) Systems. This role is strategic in nature, necessitating the creation and delivery of detailed commodity summaries at both working and executive levels. These summaries will encompass a broad spectrum of topics crucial for informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of experience in supply chain management, finance, manufacturing, management, and data analytics.
The Senior Global Supply Manager will oversee all business dealings with a set of suppliers and will be the primary internal liaison with Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Quality, Legal and Manufacturing. Their goal is to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of top-tier products.
They will contribute to the global supply chain strategy, provide support to cross-functional teams during the development and industrialization stages, and facilitate prudent business decisions throughout the product lifecycle.
You Will:
- In-Depth Industry Analysis and Insightful Summaries.
- Conduct thorough, on-going industry research and analysis of EV powertrain mechanical parts space, including associated existing and emerging technological advancements, and provide high level recommendations for integration into Lucid's product suite.
- Develop comprehensive commodity summaries covering current industry players, macro and microeconomic landscapes, and key geopolitical considerations crucial to sourcing decisions.
- Risk Assessment, Commodity Planning, and Strategic Recommendations.
- Evaluate geopolitical risks and international issues that could have an impact on continuity of supply.
- Provide in-depth insights into global regulatory environments and their implications on sourcing strategies.
- Formulate strategic recommendations based on complex analysis to drive best-in-class sourcing decisions that provide maximum value to Lucid.
- Collaborate closely with team members to implement recommended strategies effectively.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Alignment.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including engineering, planning, manufacturing, and policy to align analysis with overall business objectives.
- Facilitate effective communication to ensure that insights are seamlessly integrated into decision-making.
- Data Analytics, Technical Acumen and Compelling Visualization.
- Utilize advanced data analytics skills to extract meaningful insights.
- Leverage existing or develop new business analytics tools to visually display key insights necessary to strategic decision making.
- Gain a strong understanding of the manufacturing processes and technologies associated with the overall commodity.
- Develop visually compelling presentations for team and executive-level reporting that resonate with diverse audiences across engineering, supply chain, finance, marketing, etc.
- Negotiate on behalf of/in the interest of the company, to ensure sourcing of key components can meet Lucid's objectives and deliverables.
You Bring:
Core Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in technical, supply chain or finance discipline, MBA a plus.
- 5 years minimum Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering experience related to Powertrain Motor/Gearbox systems or commodities of equal complexity.
- Proven experience with complex analysis, consulting, supply chain, and data analytics.
- Impeccable visual presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Product launch/New product introduction experience.
- Demonstrated experience working independently with excellent judgement for stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to navigate numerous competing priorities and triage priorities according to business needs.
- Advanced MS PowerPoint and Excel skills required.
- Strong negotiation, written and verbal skills as well as good organizational and program management
capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in finance, international business, engineering, supply chain, or related technical field.
- Previous experience in supply chain analysis, engineering, manufacturing, or managerial/financial consulting a major plus.
- Strong grasp and passion for international business affairs, geopolitics, macroeconomics, and business strategy.
- Consulting background with a focus on strategic analysis and recommendations.
- Manufacturing experience, especially in the context of manufacturing processes knowledge. Key manufacturing spaces:
- Automotive, Electronics or high-volume manufacturing background preferred.
- Castings/forgings/extrusions
- Injection molded/over molded commodities
- High volume machining operations
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities, proficient Excel skills and experience with SAP or other ERP or MRP systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and Engineering Change Requests processes
- Bonus if you are proficient in either Mandarin, Japanese, Hindi, or Spanish

Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
