At Cancer Research UK, we exist to beat cancer.

We're looking for an exceptional Senior Campaign Specialist to play a pivotal role in delivering one of the UK's most recognisable fundraising campaigns, Stand Up to Cancer. This high-profile position will lead the development and delivery of integrated campaigns through strategic partnerships, with a particular focus on the Autumn 2027 live-show campaign.

Working across Cancer Research UK and alongside major external partners including Channel 4, you'll bring together commercial thinking, stakeholder leadership and campaign excellence to maximise fundraising impact.

What will I be doing?

  • Lead the development and delivery of Stand Up to Cancer campaign, ensuring successful execution through internal teams and external partners.
  • Play a lead role in shaping and delivering the Autumn 2027 live-show campaign, including campaign themes, fundraising mechanics, commercial opportunities and cross-functional delivery.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with key partners, including Channel 4, production companies and Stand Up to Cancer US stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across Cancer Research UK to align campaign activity, working closely with Partnerships, Marketing, Research and Programme Management teams.
  • Lead stakeholder groups, workstreams and governance forums, ensuring alignment, engagement and effective decision-making across multiple teams.
  • Develop campaign KPIs, monitor performance and use insight to optimise campaign effectiveness and maximise fundraising outcomes.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience delivering fast-paced, high-profile multi-faceted campaigns, ideally within a commercial or fundraising environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities to increase income and maximise campaign impact.
  • Outstanding relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior stakeholders and external partners.
  • Experience developing and delivering successful propositions through strategic partnerships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complexity, manage ambiguity and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Experience implementing campaign strategies and translating plans into successful delivery.

Our organisation values are designed to guide all that we do.

Bold: Act with ambition, courage and determination

Credible: Act with rigour and professionalism

Human: Act to have a positive impact on people

Together: Act inclusively and collaboratively

If you’re interested in applying and excited about working with us but are unsure if you have the right skills and experience we’d still love to hear from you.

Eligibility criteria
