We are looking for a technically strong Senior Full Stack Engineer with deep expertise in Java to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The role requires strong backend engineering capabilities, an understanding of complex software architectures, and the ability to integrate frontend and backend systems seamlessly.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices, along with a strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to quickly adopt new technologies. Experience with React for frontend development and Python for scripting or backend services will be a valuable advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full stack applications with Java as the core backend technology.
• Build robust backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop maintainable application components using object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean coding principles.
• Analyse complex technical requirements and translate architectural designs into efficient software solutions.
• Integrate frontend and backend components to deliver seamless application functionality.
• Contribute to frontend development using React where required.
• Use Python for scripting, automation, or additional backend development where appropriate.
• Design and optimise database interactions across relational and NoSQL databases.
• Troubleshoot complex application issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and improve system performance.
• Write and maintain unit tests and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering standards, coding practices, and documentation quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features from design through deployment.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical discussions and knowledge sharing.
• Work with cloud platforms, deployment processes, and CI/CD workflows to support reliable releases.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve application capabilities, scalability, and maintainability.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 4+ years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on expertise in Java. Extensive full stack experience is highly desirable.
• Deep proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and enterprise application development.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and scalable backend architectures.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, design patterns, and software engineering principles.
• Experience with Hibernate or similar ORM frameworks.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL-based systems and technologies such as Neo4j.
• Experience with Git, Agile methodologies, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong debugging, analytical thinking, and performance-optimisation skills.
• Ability to understand complex system designs and rapidly learn new technologies.
• Experience with React and Python is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical ownership skills.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
