About this Senior Full-Stack Engineer role at CyberCube
CyberCube delivers the world's leading analytics to quantify cyber risk, translating one of the most critical risks of today and the future into financial impact for businesses, markets, and society.
AI at our foundation, cyber risk at our core. We don't just use AI, we shape it.
Built on AI from day one. Artificial intelligence has been part of our strategy since the beginning, blended with deep cybersecurity and insurance expertise and backed by rigorous testing.
Trusted by more than 100 clients, including 75% of the top 40 European and US cyber insurance carriers and 70% of the top ten reinsurance brokers.
Backed for global growth. In 2025 Spectrum Equity joined some of CyberCube’s financial partners as a new cornerstone investor, accelerating our global growth and fueling innovation across our end-to-end cyber risk analytics for the insurance industry.
A truly global team across San Francisco, New York, London, and Tallinn.
A culture of collaboration, openness, intellectual rigor, and ownership for excellence.
People at the forefront. We encourage CyberCubers to challenge themselves, push boundaries, and do the best work of their careers.
We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Tallinn team and take end-to-end ownership of features across a modern React/TypeScript frontend and a Java/Spring backend. You will shape how our architecture evolves as we scale, and have a real voice in technical product direction. You'll work alongside a team that values autonomy, trust, and intellectual rigor, and that keeps customer problems — not internal process — at the center of how decisions get made.
What you'll be doing
Designing, building, and owning complex features across the full stack, from React components to Java services
Reasoning about service boundaries and helping evolve our codebase through architectural change
Working with performance monitoring and optimization as a core part of how you build, not an afterthought
Using Claude Code as a natural part of your workflow
Helping the team stay ahead of industry and technology trends that shape our product direction
What you bring
Solid, proven experience shipping complex features in production, with real ownership of outcomes
Strong React and TypeScript skills, and comfort with state management (Redux and friends)
Strong Java skills, ideally with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA
Experience designing REST/OpenAPI APIs and working with relational databases and schema migrations
Working knowledge of AWS fundamentals (S3, SQS, and similar services) and containerized local development (Docker)
Comfort working with both synchronous and asynchronous service communication (queues/messaging)
Nice to have — not dealbreakers, just a bonus
Exposure to Kubernetes/Helm-based deployments, or deeper AWS (EC2, RDS, EKS, IAM)
Kotlin experience
i18n/multi-locale application experience
Experience leading a legacy modernization or architectural migration effort
Why You'll Love it Here
Play an instrumental role in reshaping one of the oldest industries in the world
Learning and development assistance
Vision and dental coverage
Extra vacation days during winter holidays
Flexible working hours and work-from-home option
Company-supported mentorship and secondment programs
Work abroad for up to 3 months with approval
