Meaningful Work From Day OneResponsible for financial planning, accounting, reporting, and analysis functions for external manufacturing sites globally. These activities include general accounting functions, financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, standard cost calculations and reviews, production variance analysis, and other financial support.
What You Can Expect
- Ensures financial records are maintained in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and statutory reporting requirements, ensures accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the financial records, statements, and management reports.
- Leads and executes the monthly closing function and related analysis of production cost and variances from standard cost.
- Prepares quarterly account reconciliations, regulatory reporting / filings (e.g., VAT and Intrastat filings) in accordance with local requirements.
- Conducts reviews of financial activity to ensure accuracy and integrity of the accounting records in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, U.S. GAAP, company policies, and other applicable controls.
- Develops annual and day-to-day cost standards using SAP knowledge (activity rates, bills of materials, material ledger) and manual standard calculations for locations not using SAP.
- Accountable for EMO financial performance outcomes by providing actionable analytics and insights that support business decisions, operational priorities, and site performance management.
- Supports and leads projects and ad hoc requests, including researching and implementing process improvements, system automations, and process standardization across EMO sites, with ownership for financial governance, standards, and policy alignment where applicable.
- Identifies complex accounting and operational finance issues, researches possible solutions, and develops conclusions that help set direction and inform decisions for the function, in partnership with the Finance Manager and key stakeholders.
- Exercises independent judgment to make or recommend financial and operational decisions that directly influence business results, while escalating matters requiring broader functional approval.
- Reviews and reports findings regarding inventory adjustments and cycle counts, monitors slow-moving and obsolete inventory, and supports annual inventory at 3rd party warehouses in collaboration with Supply Chain.
- Provides financial analysis support for EMO innovation projects across managed sites.
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in finance and/or accounting plus 4 years of relevant experience (preferably in planning or manufacturing), or an MBA degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent education/experience combination.
- Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of U.S. GAAP and the ability to prepare financial statements and analysis.
- Demonstrated understanding of production and inventory costing methods.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.
- Demonstrated experience with ERP systems in a production environment.
- Demonstrated ability to independently prepare financial analysis with accuracy and within an established timeframe, navigating ambiguous situations with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to working a flexible schedule to meet deadlines and participate in meetings across different time zones (early morning or evening as needed).
What Makes You Unique

- CPA and/or CMA certification.
- MBA degree.
- SAP experience.
