Who You Are:

You're a technically skilled financial analyst with advanced financial modeling capabilities, strong analytical instincts, and a talent for solving complex business problems. You enjoy building models from the ground up, working with large datasets, and figuring out how to approach questions that don't always have a clear answer. You're comfortable navigating ambiguity, challenging assumptions, and developing creative, data-driven solutions to support business decisions. You bring a strong understanding of financial planning and analysis, along with the technical expertise to build scalable tools, automate processes, and translate complex information into meaningful insights. You're naturally curious, adaptable, and confident taking ownership of projects that require both independent thinking and cross-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Financial Analyst – Commercial on Curaleaf's Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, you'll serve as a technical financial modeling and analytics resource supporting our national Markets organization. You'll develop sophisticated financial models, analyze commercial performance, and lead ad hoc analytical projects that help leadership evaluate opportunities, understand business drivers, and make informed decisions. You'll work across financial and operational datasets to build scalable reporting tools, improve forecasting capabilities, and support strategic commercial initiatives. You will:

  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models to support commercialization strategies, revenue forecasting, business planning, and strategic decision-making.
  • Build financial models to evaluate product launches, pricing strategies, market expansion, sales opportunities, and other commercial initiatives.
  • Lead ad hoc financial analysis and special projects, independently developing analytical approaches to complex or undefined business questions.
  • Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate financial outcomes, identify risks, and support strategic planning.
  • Support annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range financial planning through detailed financial modeling and performance analysis.
  • Analyze commercial performance, including revenue trends, sales results, brand performance, market share, and competitive activity.
  • Develop and maintain recurring management reporting covering retail presence, wholesale performance, market trends, and key commercial KPIs.
  • Build, automate, and improve financial models, dashboards, and analytical tools to increase reporting efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Leverage SQL, Snowflake, Omni, Vena, and other financial and analytical platforms to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets.
  • Evaluate financial and operational data to identify trends, test assumptions, and develop actionable business recommendations.
  • Partner with Commercial, Finance, and cross-functional leadership to support financial analysis, strategic initiatives, and evolving business needs.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across financial models, reporting tools, and internal and external data sources.
  • Present complex financial analysis and modeling results to leadership, translating technical findings into clear, actionable insights.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, commercial finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Advanced financial modeling experience, with the ability to independently design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot complex financial models from scratch.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and working with large datasets.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience querying, manipulating, and analyzing complex datasets.
  • Experience with revenue modeling, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance reporting.
  • Strong technical aptitude and experience using financial planning, reporting, or business intelligence platforms.
  • Ability to independently structure analytical approaches, identify relevant data, test assumptions, and develop solutions to complex business questions.
  • Experience developing scalable financial models, improving reporting processes, or automating analytical workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and manage projects without established processes or clearly defined direction.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and technical information into meaningful insights for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach with the ability to manage competing priorities, take ownership of special projects, and influence business decisions.

Even Better If:

  • You have experience with commercialization modeling, product profitability analysis, pricing strategies, or market expansion analysis.
  • You're familiar with commercial finance, revenue analytics, market intelligence, or competitive analysis.
  • You have experience with financial reporting and analytics tools such as Snowflake, Omni, Vena, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • You have experience building automated reporting solutions, integrating multiple data sources, or improving financial modeling processes.
