About this Senior Environmental Officer role at Quality People
Our client URGENTLY requires a Senior Environmental Officer for 12 months + Contracts on the Gold Coast.
The Senior Environmental Officer will deliver high level advice on the statutory obligations of all relevant environmental legislation including requirements of the Commonwealth's Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).
Skills and Experience required includes:
- Provide specialist environmental advice regarding the implementation of assessments, legislation, compliance, and management across all project phases.
- Identify potential environmental constraints and negotiate design modifications to ensure project outcomes align with regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance on project activities while acting as a key advisor to management teams regarding environmental issues and delivery risks.
- Maintain effective liaison and communication with internal stakeholders, government agencies, and industry partners to ensure project objectives are met.
Government experience would be highly advantageous.
