About this Senior Environment Artist role at Media Molecule
We are Media Molecule, a Guildford based game developer proudly part of the PlayStation Studios group. We have a history of creating Award winning games such as LittleBigPlanet, Tearaway and Dreams.
It’s a fantastic time to join us as we embark on our next adventure, defining and executing the vision for our next ambitious project based out of our studio in central Guildford. We are now searching for 2 exceptional Senior 3D Environment Artists to join us!
This will be a short-term contingent engagement through our staffing partner, Yoh Services which we anticipate will run until the end of July 2027. We are therefore open to hybrid and remote working in the UK with a preference for 1 day a week onsite in Guildford.
Role Overview:
As a Senior 3D Environment Artist, you'll be working with a world class team of Artists to bring our game levels to the highest quality, under guidance by our Art Director.
If you have a passion for beautifully stylised environments, lighting and composition, we want to hear from you!
You'll be working on already-existing levels within Blender often using our inhouse plug-ins, so being able to pick up new tools and tech is a must. A strong knowledge of Blender is essential to this role.
What we are looking for:
- You have affinity for stylised natural environments and architecture
- You're at home modelling inside Blender, using PBR workflows
- You're quick to learn and understand in-house plug-ins and tools
- You're confident working on existing content and can continue the consistency of quality and style you're given
- You're articulate and have strong written and verbal communication skills – Media Molecule is built on empowering close collaboration between people and teams
- You have experience shipping 3D games
Desirable Skills:
- You have a shipped AAA title under your belt
- You have experience with multiple game engines
- You have experience with developing for the PlayStation 5
