Job title:
You will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and verification validation of embedded firmware for innovative Oral Healthcare products.
Your role:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain firmware for MCU-based embedded systems used in oral healthcare and personal health products.
- Develop firmware modules for motor control, sensors, user interfaces, BLE communication, RFID, data storage, and power management.
- Independently own firmware modules from requirement analysis through validation development, verification and product release.
- Participate in firmware architecture definition and software design reviews.
- Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Software, App, Test, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure successful product integration.
- Support app-level integration, system verification, and firmware verification validation activities.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and drive resolution of firmware issues throughout development, verification, and mass production.
- Lead Support cybersecurity implementation, risk management and product compliance activities.
- Contribute to technical decision-making and continuous improvement of software development practices.
- Support global collaboration and occasional travel to suppliers or manufacturing sites (up to 20–30%).
You're the right fit if:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 8 years of embedded software or firmware development experience in consumer electronics, smart devices, IoT products, or medical devices.
- Strong expertise in Embedded C/C++ development.
- Hands-on experience developing firmware on MCU platforms.
- Solid understanding of UART, SPI, I²C, GPIO, ADC, PWM, and related hardware interfaces.
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) development and debugging.
- Knowledge of RFID, data storage, user interface firmware, and wireless communication technologies.
- Familiarity with RTOS architecture and multitasking systems.
- Experience with motor and pump control systems and battery management for low-power platforms.
- Understanding of firmware architecture and system integration.
- Experience working through the full product development lifecycle from concept to mass production.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Good knowledge of embedded cybersecurity principles.
- Strong ownership and ability to independently drive module delivery.
- Effective communication skills in both English and Chinese.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TI or ST BLE stacks.
- Experience in algorithm development, signal processing, or control logic.
- Experience with Python and software test automation.
- ISO13485 knowledge or experience.
- Knowledge of AI tools, Python for code development and test automation or data analysis.
